Diamond community: would you rather

Almost all diamonds are imperfect. Even IF diamonds arent FL. A D FL diamond is going to be very expensive, and almost not worth wearing, because any surface damage will dump its clarity down to IF.

I also like inclusions, in the fact that these items had to be right next to each other for millions of years to create THIS diamond crystal. Fluor is one of my favourite things, but its seen as a flaw by many. Inclusions are like little birth marks, that make your diamond unique.

So for me, I’d rather an imperfect diamond.

All diamonds are “imperfect,” so to speak.  My vote is diamond.

I think you’re going to need to spell out what imperfect means to you.

If we’re talking a salt and pepper or “galaxy” diamond, I’m choosing a plain gold band or moissanite.

All diamonds are imperfect. I’d choose a diamond or sapphire.

Pretty much any natural diamond or even a lab diamond. Or a plain gold band or nothing at all over moissanite.  Moissanite and CZ are not for me.

Depends on what you are talking about by imperfect. I would take low color grade over lower clarity, lower cut grade over higher imperfections — I clarities — and none, or moissanite over a salt and pepper or “gray” looking I clarity diamond.

Diamond… but they are all imperfect. I had never heard of moissy until I joined this forum. They are beautiful as well. I rsther have something iimperfect (not overly imperfect though, my diamond is eye clean)

Imperfect diamond. I don’t like how white moissanites appear. BUT, I’m not super well educated on diamonds or gemstones so I don’t really know fuck all about either of them other than what I’ve seen in pictures and stuff.

I like stones with character, flawless was never the goal. Imperfect diamond gets my vote.

Imperfect diamond. The clarity grading is not as important to me as eye cleanliness. I have an SI1 diamond. As long as there are no visible inclusions to the naked eye, who cares? Why pay for something you can’t see?
