All gemstones look different under different lighting. It’s just a thing they do. I can make my D color diamond turn green if I stand in the right spot under a tree. There’s nothing wrong with your diamond.

LoloF8:  Your ring is beautiful! I definitely see some very pretty sparkle in the second picture. I think it’s hard to catch sparkle in a photo.

My ring sparkles and reflects differently in different types of light, too. I even have a picture where it has a lot of reddish coloring to it because I took the picture at sunset and it was reflecting red from my phone case.

Congratulations on your engagement!

If you love the stone, no matter what the cut/proportions, that is the only important thing. And Jabberwocky makes an excellent point – all gemstones look different in different lighting.

LoloF8:  No one cares about ring specs anywhere but WB…..just keep that in mind. I think sometimes the ring boards can make people feel inecure about their rings. yours is gorgeous!

Diamonds look different in different lighting.  Everyone has preferences when it comes to what is important in their diamond.  Cut and color were more important to me then clarity.  Honestly I don’t think anyone will notice but you.  Maybe it just needs to be cleaned?

In the sun and out of the sun with a cleaned diamond – me sitting on a sofa with my back to some big windows.
