I had a diamond fall out of my halo 3x within the first year of being engaged, and finally the jeweler sent it back to the manufacturer to replace the whole thing.  Stunk being without the ring for 5 weeks, but was worth it!

well in that case, if the repairs have been covered, that is a HUGE relief. still annoying but at least not out of pocket costs for you.

Oof. This makes me nervous. My husband just bought me a halo ring as a 15-year anniversary upgrade and I had no idea the pave diamonds were so prone to falling out. I bought a ring from Costco two years ago with a pave setting on the band and have never had an issue. It was sized down at least one full size after I got it and no trouble at all- so fingers crossed on the new one since I bought it from the same place. And I’m brutal on my ring. I bumped it so hard that I broke one of the center gems, but the diamonds are still in place. I think I’ll have it checked when I pick up the new ring though…

I have to add a picture of my right-hand ring. I love it so much.

Yeesh. I spoke too soon. I got my halo back from the jeweler after having it sized down from a 7 to a 5 and in less than 24 hours a stone fell out! And not one of the side stones either- but one of the center stones.

The jeweler fixed it without any charge because it happened so soon after having worked on it. It appears to be a fluke because there was a broken prong (I have no idea how that happened– I barely had a chance to wear the thing).

But we bought the ring at Costco and if I have any further problems I’ll need to take it to them to be fixed. I called and asked about their policy and they said that once the ring has been sized it isn’t automatically returnable *but* they guarantee the quality of the ring and they will send it out to be fixed if any more stones fall out. If it’s an ongoing problem they will return my money. I had another jeweler look at it today to make sure everything is secure and they said it looks fine.

Here’s a close up picture of the ring. It’s very pretty in person. Fingers crossed that I don’t have any further problems with it.

I have a Daussi ring and I’m absolutely in LOVE with it. It’s a halo and has a split shank with pave setting eternity band. We got engaged on April 3, 2012 and I have put my ring through some extreme conditions. I would wear it to the gym. I would wash dishes with it on. I would wear it to work where I washed my hands what felt like hundreds of times a night and put on/take off gloves all night (I’m an ER nurse). I would sleep with it on most nights unless I was too bloated. I wore it to the beach multiple times. All of this and NO problems. Then all of a sudden about a week before our wedding (which was just over a year after we got engaged), I looked down one night and noticed a stone missing from the bottom of the band. Of course they have to ship it back to the Daussi factory so I had to wait until after the wedding as it would not be back in time. I got a matching double band pave setting wedding band. It was right at two weeks after our wedding when I looked down and noticed that now there’s a diamond missing from the bottom of my wedding band!! I haven’t even done anything major that I know of that could’ve caused this. I’ve been off of work. I don’t sleep with it on because my fingers are swollen. We haven’t been on a honeymoon or to the beach. So i have no explanation. I’m going to have to send them both back to be fixed. I sure am going to miss my rings and hope they get them fixed for good. But no matter what, I will never trade in my rings. Headache or not, they’re too beautiful to trade in.
