That looks to me like it’s covering what 1ct would on your size, but if the stone doesn’t excite you, I would definitely exchange it-

ETA: I keep trying to load a coverage chart but the photo won’t load … ugh this site

had a .90 gia excellent cut in previous engagement.  don’t have the gia specs on hand. my size is 4-4.25 finger though.  6.1/6.2 sounds about right for your .90.

eta: and my band was wider, which sometimes enhances the solitaire.

I guess I’m just confused because the GIA report lists its size in mm as well as its carat size. This should not have been any sort of surprise. But take advantage of their return policy; this is what it’s there for. Then make sure you know what sort of mm size you are looking for before choosing a new one. And keep in mind that a shallow cut is not better than a deeper cut as far as performance is concerned. Check it though all the online tools before ordering, too.

NM. I just read your update. I completely understand how a solitaire might not be the right choice for you, given your current ring! That is a lot of bling and a lot of finger coverage; it would be hard for anyone to get used to the visuals of a solitaire after that!
