I used the diamond mesh to make sleeves for votive candle holders. I ended up cutting the mesh to fit the holders and then stitching them together. I find that any type of glue, glue gun or  super glue or fabric glue, leaves a residue that makes th mesh look dull, but if you are using it for bigger projects, glue may be okay if you are very careful. Another way to use it with self adhesive Velcro. I would say that it really depends on how you plan to use the mesh. Hope I’ve been of some help to you.

I’m having the same issue! I tried sewing, but my votive candles are kind of curved and get smaller at the bottom. My husband tried glue.. no luck. Looks hideous! I’m dying to know how other bees do it.

did you guys buy the actual mesh with the crystals in it or the ones that LOOK like they do?  i just cant see myself spending that much extra for little crystals when i can kind of get the look for cheaper.  what do you guys think?

@PoeticDoveInLA:  One website recommended a body/clothing fashion tape  by Brazabra Corp.  It’s a double sided tape and it worked great attaching diamond mesh to tall vase.

I would give it a try… I do alot of trial runs on different ideas that come my way…only guessing that the body tape might have a stronger adhesive level…being it will stick to skin.  I also used it to wrap diamond mesh around votive candles for alittle added bling.

Check out ItalianBride in the Classified section of Wedding bee.. She has beautiful wrap and it’s not that expense.  We used Aleene’s Fast Grab tacky glue to put the wrap around all my step daughter’s votives. It worked wonderful and it didn’t come lose when the candles were lit.

I”ve used it before, and glue dots worked well for it.  Get the really thin ones, otherwise you will have bumps in the mesh.
