I may have a solution for you with a real diamond. PM me with a few more details such as desires and budget.

I had a moissanite diamond for a previous engagement. In my experiences as long as you stay under 1.5 ct they don’t look fake or too blingy.

Moissanite alone in a solitaire setting may look OK but looks very fake next to real diamonds. Also a tacori setting is very expensive I can make you the setting for usually around half the price.

If you want a diamond, don’t get a moissanite. It doesn’t look like a diamond. I would get a smaller diamond now and upgrade when I can. I did the same you are thinking: got the moissanite and upraded to diamond. I wish had gone with a small diamond instead. Nothing will look like a real diamond. I got my diamond from James Allen and couldn’t be happier with it. Moissanite on the first 2 pictures, diamond on the next 2. Nothing against moissanites, they are beautiful, but if you want a diamond I don’t recommend it.
