I don’t want to start drama, but I want to truly know how many diamond owners think their ring is better than someone else’s moissanite (or cz or white sapphire). If someone tells you their ring is one of those things, or you can just tell, does it make you feel superior or like your ring is better? Please be nice, this is just out of curiosity! This mentality is often assumed around here, and I’m wondering how real (no pun intended) and prevalent it is. Vote honestly!

A diamond would never have the power to make me feel superior to anyone. Goodness.
A diamond is what I wanted, but I would have married my SO with a simple gold band. I love looking at all the various options out there. But superior. Nope. Never.

@FauxBoho: no need to get upset! I just really want to know because people always assume this!

This is going to cause drama.
My diamond is different than a moissanite. It’s like asking if my apple at lunch is better than your orange. They are different. And both great.

Voted no. Diamonds are just some rock like the rest of them. I love mine, but if I didn’t have a family heirloom, we would have gone with something pretty but not exorbitantly over-priced.

Yes, I think a diamond is better than another white stone or non white stone FOR ME cause I wanted a diamond.
My ring is not superior to anyone elses, cause I just dont care enough about what anyone else has. I don’t sit around and compare my ring or anything else to what other people have. Call me self centered, but I only care about my ring and things. What anyone else wants to buy and wear, I don’t give a shit. They aren’t sending my money, they aren’t putting it on my finger.

my ring gives me the power to summon captain planet, so yes, I would say I feel superior

@Ellegee: I’ll see if I can summon the power rangers and we can duke it out!

no i don’t think my ring is superior. my e-ring is diamonds but we couldn’t afford that for the wedding band so that band is cz (it’s the absolute stuff from HSN). just looking at them together, you can’t tell the difference, not that it matters to me if people can. i’m not ashamed of it and i will gladly tell people what it is.

I’ve had my ring for 2 days – it’s a diamond – and it’s attracted a lot of lookers – so i feel it’s powerful and superior because it gets others attention without me flaunting it in front of them.

very interesting poll! I have a diamond and don’t feel superior to anyone because of it. I couldn’t care less what someone else’s ring is. What someone else has in life (ring or otherwise) has absolutely no bearing on me and doesn’t affect me in any way.
