I have wanted a good, every day ring for my right hand for years. I have a ring I wear on my left middle finger, which I have had for the last 7 years, and I would like one for my right ring finger. SO gave me a Love’s Embrace pendant necklace from Kay Jeweler’s when we first started dating 3 years ago. It is a simple 10k white gold pear shaped halo with a tiny round diamond suspended in the middle. Love’s Embrace makes rings too, but I love the way the pendant looks with the pear “point” at the base of my finger, and would love to have it made into an every day ring. Is it weird to wear a diamond ring on my hand when I’m not engaged, even though it’s on the right? Also, do you think it would be weird to make a ring out of something he gave me? I like the idea of having something to symbolize where we came from every day on that hand, and then (hopefully) someday having a new shiny one for my left hand!

I wear a diamod solitaire on my right ring finger, though the setting is antique so it doesn’t look like a normal soliatre. It is a family heirloom my grandma gave me the Christmas before she passed away and it belonged to my dad’s godmother. Although I occasionally get asked if I’m engaged and have to remind people that it’s on my right hand. I think the loves embrace ring would be great as a right hand ring. I used to work for a jewelry store and many of the non-engagement rings were diamond

No its not weird at all. I use to wear a diamond cluster ring on my left ring finger that my mom bought me. It was a promise ring. Only once did anyone ask if I was getting married. I was 15 at the time & he was my doctor & laughed, so I am sure he was joking? lol
I think it would be a beautiful thing to do!

This is kind of how I picture it (I McGyver-ed a ring together with careful balance and a blurry cell phone picture).

Nope, not weird at all! I’ve had a diamond ring on my right hand (middle finger) for years. People, guys friends at work mostly, have actually done double take on it and were about to ask if I got engaged, until they thought about it a split second longer and realized it was on the wrong hand AND finger. Heres my RHR:

It would make me very sad if all unmarried women couldn’t wear diamonds if they wanted to. Bling away, no one is judging!

I wore a diamond ring on my left ring finger when my SO (now FI) gave it to me for our 2 year anniversary during my senior year of HS. So I think you’re definitely good, especially since you said right hand lol
