milabeehappy:  aww I’m so sorry bee! Hugs!!That’s not like jamesallen to make such a mistake like this! Hopefully since it’s their error they will give you a deal, and make it right. Everything will work out, if the diamond isnt what you wanted then it wasn’t meant to be. You will find your perfect stone, I promise 🙂

Have you looked at the gia#inscribed on the girdle? I’d start by looking it up to get the stats. Who knows, it may be a better, larger diamond in which case you’ve lucked out.

I’m so sorry for you!

Have you contacted JA? Did they give you any explanation?

doberman:  that’s exactly what I was going to suggest. Look up the number on the diamond you love. Just google GIA … Then the cert number

When my Fiance was looking online he did this regularly and often found the same diamond listed elsewhere cheaper (as often they all just tap into one big shared diamond stock).

I do feel for you as I know how you felt about this one. I remember the angst well!  Look it up and tell us what you find.

Don’t cry. I promise this will work out in one way or another and you will end up happy. ❤️❤️❤️

I hope that they can find a proper solution for this issue. This sucks for a trusted seller with such a reputation.

milabeehappy:  Wait … so it arrived and the incsription didn’t match the GIA cert? Wow. Huge problem. I’m surprised to hear that happened with JA (although heaven knows they move so many diamonds, I guess mistakes like this are inevitable once in a while).

Sorry, bee. I know how disappointed you must be.

milabeehappy:  Take it to a jeweler to look under a scope/loupe.
