I like having a moissanite (for money and partially ethical reasons), but I would also wear a diamond. In fact, I have diamond jewelry and wear it on occasion. I just didn’t want Fiance spending a ton of money that could be put back for a house or other expenses.

Also, be ready to get some heated opinions; if you put VS. there, it will lead to controversy.

I love moissanite, and I love diamond. (I just like the extra sparkle a moissanite has)! Good luck!

I don’t know I guess the ladies with diamonds would prefer a diamond and those with Moissanite probably prefer moissanite..LOL.  I personally wanted a diamond but I chose my ring prior to coming to WB and hadn’t heard of moissanite.  I approached my Fiance with the idea of it or any alternative diamond/colorless stone but he dismissed it especially since we had already chose the ring.  When we (FI and I) think of wedding rings we think of diamonds but that’s not to say I don’t like the look of alternative gems and colored gems.  It just wasn’t for me.

Pretty much this… except for the minority of moissanite buyers that buy it to pass it off as a diamond and prefer only the price of the moissanite over price of diamond of similar size.

This will get ugly fast. If you want a diamond, get a diamond. If you’re getting a moissanite cause it looks like a diamond, just don’t. End of story.

I love my diamond ring and I would never get a moissanite… To me nothing compares to a real diamond. But I can respect other people’s choices and I even think some rings that aren’t diamonds are pretty.

I don’t really know much about moissanites. But based on the pictures that have been posted on here, they’re pretty. But honestly, I can’t notice much of a difference. As long as it’s pretty, white, shiny, and not from Claire’s, I’ll love it haha

I love diamonds because to me they look different to moissonites and cubic zirconias etc, but I can understand people who dont see the difference opting for the cheaper option.

I like moissanite, might get one!

I like diamonds, might get one!

I think it’s totally fine to get either regardless of the reason. They are both beautiful gemstones although moissanite is much more affordable.

White Diamonds are my least favourite gemstone (sorry diamonds!) I find them a bit boring and tricksy, they pretend to be rare. I love the amazing colours in gemstones the best. I got a moissanite because its the most sci fi of gems and the rainbow twinkles remind me of a holographic effect.

Blue gemstones are big favourites of mine. I like blue diamonds but I’d never pay blue diamond prices when I could get a different gem the same colour that was massive XD much like brand names, I’m just not impressed by it.

It just depends on what you like. If you want a diamond, get a diamond. I chose moissanite because of ethical reasons and I absolutely love it. But I think if you have your heart set on a diamond then you will likely be disappointed with a moissanite.

I like the look of both.  I have owned diamonds, never had a moisonite.  But it looks pretty.  Whatever your choice, go for it.

Just get what you like and prefer. I had a diamond, later discovered that I prefer the look of moissanite. It’s not always a price issue either. I didn’t buy a color enhanced version (I like it as is) and I don’t advertise it as a diamond. If it’s “diamond or nothing” then you won’t be happy with a moissanite.

I have a diamond and I love it. But if we hadn’t been able to afford a diamond, I would have been perfectly happy with a moissanite. But I would have gotten a yellow moissanite in a diamond setting. I may get one eventuall anyway haha, they are gorgeous. They sparkle sooo nicely and have a lot of fire and are the fraction of the cost of a yellow diamond.
