i would totally love moissanite. i have a 1.5 carat diamond but i wouldn’t have minded saving all that money, getting a clearer and larger stone for less money. not one bit. i would probably have gone for a 2 carat moissy and still come out ahead in terms of cost and clarity!

You should do whatever you can to see a moissanite in real life. You will either love it or not love it. That should help decide.

If Fiance and I hadn’t been so lucky to have my beautiful diamond passed down to me from his grandmother, I would have totally gotten a moissanite, probably a pink or yellow one. So I love both, but am happy to have my diamond!

I WANT TO SEE A MOISSY IN REAL LIFE!!!!!!
Sorry for yelling but I wish there was someone that I knew that had one. I want one (not to pass off as something else) but I like the look of some of the antique styles that moissyco has but until I see one in real life I prob wont purchase 🙁

Fiance and I have discussed emigrating to Canada, or purchasing a property there. (he is an orphan but we recently traced a lost cousin in the northwest territory and they are eager to get to know each other). If I ever move over I’ll have to show you mine lol XD

I own, and love both.
In all honesty? My OEC pendant which is Moissanite beats my very high quality diamond in my engagement ring. I do not love regular Round Brilliant moissanite as much though!

As my mother has been in the jewellry industry her entire life, she would have damn near croaked if my FH bought me a “lab generated” gem. I would be disappointed too.
However, I fell in love with antique diamond engagement rings. There is something about the quality and craftsmanship (of a GOOD one!) that you can’t find in many chain stores these days. BUT, I know many people think “oh….a used ring” or are superstitious.
That said, someone should get what catches their eye and what they see is beautiful, regardless of what it comes from. Ethical reasons are huge, props to anyone standing up for them. If it blings how you want it, GO FOR IT!

Well i am sure i am a little odd – but i am both. lol
The doamond setting we are creating is 1cttw… Its a pave band.
The center stone is a 2ct moissy.
It was honestly what i wanted – i dont really know why lol.

I see them as too completely different stones just like a white sapphire and a white topaz … I do however dislike when people pass them off as something there not. Same goes for cz’s

I am a real diamond person only. I would not be interested in anything else.

@cbee: Just curious as to why nothing else interests you?
