I just had my dress fitting and I forgot how dark ivory is. Well, I was told that diamond white is light ivory so I figured that it probably it would go with the dress before I purchased it. When I received the bolero it looked white..and then I just tried my dress on with the bolero and there is a very obvious difference between the colors. The question is I am wondering if people will think this looks strange..because at this point I really don’t know if I should get a new one, omit the bolero completely, or just wear it.

You know, it might. Especially since the bolero is lacy looking so the slight difference in color wouldn’t be glaring, I’d think. Your dress is gaw-jus btw!

I would think it looks a little odd…

Do you have a picture of you wearing the dress and the bolero? It might not even show in pictures. I love that bolero!! How did you order it without ordering the dress too? If its white you might see the difference, diamond white is usually not so boldly ivory. Usually like a tinted white. You might be able to dye it or tint it to a less white. I’ve heard of people using tea bags to darken the white up. Maybe the seamstress can do a custom dye for you.

@cincity75: No pix yet, I forgot to take the pix. My 2nd fitting is next week so will do then. Yeah, not sure how to dye it. I purchased the bolero online and apparently you can purchase separately. I liked it so much that I took the chance! Oh well, I’m looking at other ones to see what would go with this dress. Trying to see if there’s something on Etsy…
