Ello dears. I was hoping some bees could share their experiences purchasing from diamondrensu. He has great reviews, and I am in love with the antique style of his rings. Specifically, a near colorless east west emerald cut in a double prong setting. I’ve read some were concerned about the color grading, however I like some warmth as long as it doesn’t lean “gray”. Additionally, I think an emerald cut may be more predictable as it’s not as intricate as H&A? Just some thoughts I had. I also know that the requirements for gold stamping are not as in the US, but I’ve read many have had it tested to be pure by US jewelers. And of course, beautiful price point. Any way, I would appreciate some advice from others who have their jewelry.

No experience but would love to see pics if you have any. Sounds so pretty.

I have used them in the past-I’ve ordered loose stones from them. They have great quality. I’ll try to dig up some photos [it’s been so long I can’t remember which I’ve purchased].
In 2018 I ordered an EC from them and a set of half moons [everything is now on an old computer sorry] so I can’t provide any photos but the stones were clear and crisp, I did like them.
For my next project though I went to an etsy shop.. he was much quicker to respond and work with custom designs. The EC from him is pictured below:

Do a search on reddit in the r/moissanite sub, I remember seeing a review and pictures not too long ago!

thank you for that! It’s okay about the photos, it’s good to know you got the same cut and liked it. I am really excited about it because I just fell in love with the pictures! The more I think about it the more antsy I get which can be good and bad haha.

oh wow I’ve never actually searched directly from the Reddit site and there are so many related posts, thank you!

I had this custom made by Ankit, and she’s a beauty. My diamond is larger and a triple x, but I still enjoy wearing this ring on occasion.
I believe you can do a color upgrade for $60. This was a DEF range. I paid for the shipping upgrade and it arrived a few days early.
That said, one of the prongs needs adjusted as it snags on everything and I believe the stone is ever so slightly tilted. But, I noticed the tilt in the pic he sent before shipping and I gave it the thumbs up anyways since it didn’t bother me.

thanks for this! It is so pretty. I love how unique the octagon is. I figured that if there was anything minor such as prongs being off adjusted I could just get it fixed here. It doesn’t seem like anyone has had any sizing issue, which is good because I’d want an enternty band with it and those would be a hassle to resize

welcome! Sizing was spot on in my experience.
I figured the same with minor fixes, they just haven’t bothered me enough to take it in! I really loved the octagon shape too. I was trying out different shapes before purchasing an upgrade diamond. This was honestly my favorite but you couldn’t tell it wasn’t a round cut unless you were looking closely.

I don’t know about moissanite, but in diamonds at least emerald cuts are way trickier to find good ones of than rounds.
You can’t rely on % like you can with brilliants and most are cut with bad leakage. It takes a LOT of digging to find ones without significant leakage that don’t appear dead or glassy, and are properly cut and polished.
Do they let you view the exact stone before you buy?

Golden Bird Jewellery is excellent as well. Vijay makes perfect rings at very reasonable prices. He’s also on Etsy.

OurosJewels is Vijays lab diamond etsy shop, I recently got an eternity band from him and it’s gorgeous!
