samandgeorge :  I had a tiny diamond go missing from an emerald ring my sister gave me. I took it back to the jeweler, who sent it out, and had the diamond replaced. You would never know I had it repaired. I never lost another stone from the ring. I don’t remember the repair being costly at all. You can have your ring inspected once a year or so for loose stones and damaged or worn prongs.

samandgeorge :  yep, my grandma lost a diamond from her ring. And my mom (a kid at the time) found it under the piano –

this is the ring. It’s never lost a diamond since then 😉

the little ones should be quite inexpensive to replace, and it shouldn’t happen often – we’re just supposed to get our settings checked every six months to make sure the stones haven’t loosened.

Sorry, bee 🙁 at Least replacement shouldn’t be difficult.

This is a common risk with pave.  More so in lower quality jewlery, jewelry made by someone inexperienced in pave, when pave jewelry is cleaned in an ultrasonic, when pave rings are re-sized, etc.  Regardless, it should be an easy and inexpensive fix. GL!

It’s happened to me a few times with my wedding ring- especially when I wear my set together. I get my ring inspected every 6 months and when it happens they replace it for free.
