That’s great ! So happy you found a resolution 🙂 Dirt under a diamond? If that really was the case why would they even admit that lol?! Did you have them order the same style of setting ? And do you have to wait very long to recieve it? So glad they are willing to move in the right direction!!!

That is beautiful!  I am so thankful that you had a good and fast fix process and I will keep my fingers crossed that your happiness with your ring will last forever 🙂

What a dissapointment! My local Jared’s is so amazing. I see many stories on here about how terrible Jared is, but it’s truly the employees that make or break an establishment, not the name. …That being said, I have had this happen to me before with a previous ring. Often times it is caused by the jeweler rhodium plating it without cleaning it beforehand. Dirt and darkness are virtually trapped after that happens. I’m glad they ordered you in a new one! I have a white gold engagment ring as well, and I prefer the look of natural white gold/non-rhodium plated. It is so nice and creamy. But those risks of someone not plating correctly are also a major factor in my choice to keep it “naked”. I actually have the same ring as you, only with a different center stone (asscher), and I specifically asked them to buff off the rhodium when I bought it. It just gets brighter and prettier everytime I clean it.

@ams5174:  I followed your post here from the other!  I am actually considering what I think is your ring due to my own nightmare with Jared with my original ring (a very similar style).  I am actually on my 3rd engagement ring and 2nd wedding band because the rings keep coming in defective.  I’m hoping you haven’t had any issues with your ring since?  I’m curious how your band sits flush against your ring.  Are either of the rings notched?  When I tried it on with a band, there was a gap.  Maybe not quite the same ring???

ams5174:  I know this is a little late, but I just wanted to tell you that I absolutely LOVE your ring. I think I tried on the same setting and I fell in love with. I always admire your pictures.

I would talk to the manager and call the head office and tell them you want this corrected once and for all.  The dark stones should be replace and all stratches should be buffed out.  Mark it all down on paper, so that they do not miss anything.

eta:  I just saw this thread is old, so I hope it was all corrected and there have not been any more issues.
