mrsh52116 :  I swear by ToteSavvy. I have the regular and mini and both are great depending on if you tend to pack a lot or be more minimalist. It’s an insert that goes into your regular handbags to make them into diaper bags! They have insulated pocket and a changing mat (which is good, but my daughter is super tall so after about 10 months I needed something a little larger). It’s nice too because I just pull it out of my bag and hand it off to husband, Mother-In-Law, whoever is going to have her that day and they put it in their own bag!

HapTim from Amazon. Recommended to us by SIL. Roomy, multi-function, big but not unweildy and back-pack style. TONS of pockets. More than reasonably priced. Stroller hooks. Unisex.

Ju-Ju-Be is my favorite! A bit on the pricey side, but super durable and totally worth it, IMO. I still use both the large version and mini-backpack that I purchased when my daughter was little. She’ll be 9 in a month.

We did a courier bag for our first and kind of had the same issues.  We now have a diaper bag backpack by bag nation and I really like it.  Lots of pockets, etc- and it’s got a lifetime warranty so if it starts to rip, you can just get a new one.  My friend is currently rocking a similar bag by skip hop (backpack) and she likes hers also.

We got an Osprey brand backpack (technically a small hiking day bag) which isn’t a diaper bag at all but is only $75 but will last way way longer than a diaper bag. The only thing it didn’t have that a diaper bag would was an insulated pocket for bottles but we got a little insulated bag and stick it in there. It has enough pockets and is something my husband doesn’t mind carrying. Plus as she gets older she can use it as a regular backpack. We really like it!

I have the fawn design bag in brown and the freshly picked bag in black. I love them both!

I’m following avidly. I have one of those SkipHops (I think that’s what it’s called) and it definitely holds everything, but it’s huge and unwieldy. It takes up almost the entire space on the backseat of my car’s floor. I want something smaller, but still big enough to hold the extra diapers, wipes, a couple bottles in compartments that won’t spill, sippy cups, snacks for the toddler, and a change of clothes for the newborn plus burp rags. Oh, and has to be a messenger bag. I know it sounds like a lot, but damn they need a lot when they’re babies. With the toddler alone I can throw all his stuff in a regular handbag.

I’d think a lot about what TYPE of bag you want (tote, satchel, messenger, another backpack, etc) plus what all you need to fit in there.

Also have a ToteSavvy. Love that I can just plop it in my regular tote (Longchamp Le Pliage). And after baby’s big enough to not need a diaper bag, I’ll keep using it as a bag organizer because I love pockets!
