I am so super blessed and was given a lot of diapers as baby shower presents. I want to exchange them for different sizes/brands. What have you found is the easiest way of doing this?
Should I return all 10+ packages at once, or take a few to different stores?
What stores have the best policies, in your experience?
Also, I have only heard great things about Pampers and not so great about Huggies…which do you prefer?
Has anyone tried the pure/natural ones? What was your experience?
Oh, and which generic brands have you found to be just as good as name brands??

We aren’t ttc yet, but I think when we do I’ll try to use cloth diapers and see how they go. I have a couple of friends that use them and they have found that they have fewer blow outs. Plus it seems a litle healther not to have all that synthetic stuff on the baby. Of course, disposables can be way more convenient.

We did mostly Huggies the first several weeks until our one-size cloth diapers (BumGenius) fit. And we still do Huggies when we go anywhere overnight.
I like Huggies slightly better than Pampers because the Huggies fit better for the size listed on the package. When the NB Pampers were too small (even though DS was still within the weight range on the package), the NB Huggies still fit for a couple weeks. Other than sizing I found them to be pretty equal. I’ve used both the Pure & Natural and the Little Snugglers Huggies.
I HATED Luvs. I bought some to try because they were cheaper than Huggies & Pampers. I took them back. They are really thin and scratchy. And they are scented, I couldn’t stand the smell.

I personally don’t have a baby yet but when I worked in an early childhood education center with the one-year-olds, I preferred the Huggies over the Pampers. They felt sturdier and the flaps/edges sat better. I’m not sure if anyone had Luvs. We did have a kid or two with the generic brand (not sure what kind) and they were generally not very good.
FWIW, I’m seriously considering doing the Honest Company for diapers as I like the fact that they’re natural and eco-friendly plus they deliver (though with Amazon, you can get anything delivered by subscription). Mathematically, it’ll likely come out a bit pricier than Huggies and whatnot, but the reviews online are pretty good so we’re okay with it.
I like the idea of cloth, but Darling Husband and I don’t think it’ll work for us.

We switched back and forth between Huggies and Pampers… they were both really great! Barely noticed a difference. He leaked in Luvs so we stopped using those before we even got through a whole pack. I never tried the off brands because my son has sensitive skin and I wanted to stick with the ones that the doctor suggested which were Luvs, Huggies and Pampers. I have friends who use cloth diapers and love them but I don’t like them personally.

Dirty Delete is only 12 days but I already have a preference for Pampers. We did receive Huggies and are using those too but you have to be very careful as to how you put them on and the flaps on the legs to ensure that nothing comes out the side.

For our son, Huggies are way better than Pampers, we tried both and Pampers weren’t such a good fit for him and they leaked. It really depends on the baby though, as the diapers fit differently.
We mainly use the Kirklands ( Costco’s home brand), since they are made at the same place as Huggies, it’s really the same diaper except for the designs on it, for half the price.
Before having our son, I wanted to use cloth diapers, but Darling Husband was opposed to it and I must say he was right. It’s unfortunately not for us. I really admire parents who do it though!

My friends and I have all found that those of us with daughters prefer Pampers and those with sons prefer Huggies. Never heard anything good about Luvs. I have a lot of friends that switch to Target brand after 4 months and love it.

Pampers all the way, little boy is 13 months and that is all we use. Have tired other brands they all leak!

We use cloth at home, but it’s not allowed at daycare, so I buy natural ones for then. I like Kroger’s Comforts Touch of Nature ones. They are the same as the ones I get on Amazon, Nurtured by Nature. Good price too.

With my DDs I have used Pampers Swaddlers when they are little and then switched back and forth between Pampers Cruisers and Huggies. But definately prefer swaddlers for the newborn stage.

Me and my hubby love pampers swaddlers. At first it was very benificial to have the strip that changed colors but now I continue to buy pampers because in every box there are 2 pampers codes that earn you points that you can get stuff off their wedsite. Plus they go on sale at a store that is close to me fore $12 – $13 off on a regular basis and I stock up. My tater tot is 9 months old and I have only paid full price on the diapers for 1 box. 🙂 .. I am quite frugal
