My Maid/Matron of Honor (FI’s sister) ordered her dress yesterday. She is the first one to order, we finalized the dress pick late August and all the BM’s have known about it. Should I ask the others to order theirs or just wait? The dress will be in in December which is 6 months before the wedding. So time isn’t a issue at the moment.

Mine did not all order at the same time and it was fine.

They should all order at the same time to ensure that all of the dresses are cut from the same dye lot, otherwise there may be slight variations in the color. Most stores will allow the girls to come in and place orders separately but won’t place the order until they have all of the sizes needed.

I don’t think it really matters unless the place you’re ordering from insists. In some cases it is cheaper to order them all at once to save on shipping though. That was the case for us and so I just paid for them all and the girls paid me back when they could.

I agree with the previous posts but all my girls did order at the same time. You also want to check that the dress you picked WON”T go out of style because sometimes they have dresses where they are only for the fall so if not ordered there may be a chance they wont carry them no more. Thats one thing i made sure to ask! lol Just in case! 😀

I would recommend that they order ASAP.. I just had this happen to me. My girls didn’t order at the same time and now the dress is discontinued – they don’t carry the correct sizes and I am back to square one and back to looking for dresses! So next time they will all be ordering at the same time – not going to have same thing happen twice. 🙂
