I just figured that something bad happens before everyone’s wedding. Fiance nearly broke his hand, swelling is going down, thank god.

I was out $200 bucks last week because some hooker stole my eyeglasses.

If it’s drivable, I’d worry about fixing it later. Crap happens, but you’re ok. That’s what matters.

I know it sucks but any car you have you run the risk of getting in an accident. Just part of life, and you can save up to have it fixed especially if its still drivable. Especially if it is a new car then the body repair costs so much more!

I would probably just try and save up for the body work, your lucky it still runs that is what’s most important

@Wrkn925:  Literally a hooker, or is this just the term you’re using for the person who stole your glasses?

And as for the original post, I’m sorry this happened so close to your wedding. That definitely is a bummer.

I’m sorry this happened to you, too. At least you didn’t get hurt! That would have been much worse!

Right before our wedding, the place where Darling Husband and I worked had a fire so we were out of a job for a month and a half and then Darling Husband crashed our land rover through a brick wall:

Had to pay for the wall and some minor damage to the vehicle (though I am proud of how well it held up). I was also driving myself crazy over what happened and freaking out about how we were going to pay for everything and still have a wedding.

My point is, no matter how bad it seems, you will get through this and you will have a beautiful wedding that will make you proud for the rest of your life. It will be ok 🙂

@hyperJulie:  OMG Thank you for asking that, I literally read that “hooker stole my eyeglasses” sentence like 10 times trying to figure that out and still have no idea. I really want it to be literal because that sounds like a crazy story.

My Darling Husband whacked his head on a cupboard door and split it open just before leaving for the church, it was pissing blood everywhere and people were running around trying to prevent him from staining his tux and trying to get it to stop. Luckily it did stop in time, and by some miracle it was a little bit in his hairline so with some readjusting, he was able to hide it with his hair AND he just missed needing stitches.

@Mrs.Larson11:  It sucks that you got in to an accident but on the bright side you are ok and the car isn’t too badly damaged.

@hyperJulie:  No, not literally a hooker, although it would make for a much more interesting story.

I took them off to try on a dress in Sears, left them in the dressing room, and went back 20 mins later and they were gone. It’s just the nicest term I can come up for a woman who steals prescription eyeglasses.

@Wrkn925:  Wow that will make me think twice about leaving my glasses anywhere!  Sorry that happened to you OP I would be devastated.  I don’t know what I would do without my car and 2K?  Ha would cry myself to sleep trying to figure out where to get that kind of money.

I am unemployed, I had to borrow money just to be able to go to the doctor’s office.

Oh my goodness. How did a LR go through a brick wall! crazy.

To the OP, i wish you the best in your upcoming nuptuals. Remember, while it sucks ducks, and it is no fun, you never get more than you can handle. Hopefully you will repair or see what needs to urgently be done and then just wait for the rest. I’m sorry for this bad luck.
