We often buy lotto tickets!!! The jackpot yesterday was 41 million, but we haven’t checked our ticket yet.  We figure, what’s 5 bucks a week (and not every week, maybe once or twice a month) especially if you win.  It’s the same as buying a starbucks, which you essentially piss out!!!

Not for the wedding, but for life in general, yes!  We only buy if it’s over $100 million and we will only do it an absolute max of once a week (although it’s more like once a month if it hits $100mil that we actually do it).  We got one tonight actually, fingers crossed!

Fiance made a detour so we could buy a lottery ticket this afternoon! And there’s a new show that we started watching on cold, rainy Saturdays…”How the Lottery Changed My Life.” Some great, some sad stories and interesting to see how people’s lives are impacted after winning 🙂

@pink.sequins: I saw that show a week or 2 ago and it made me want to run out & get a ticket!

If there’s a big jackpot, we normally always buy a few (no more than $5). Fiance wants me to play more often since I’ve been weirdly lucky lately.

@UpstateCait: That’s awesome! My Fiance is the one who has what I call “lucky bones” and he’s on a streak lately too. Good luck 🙂

Yep, we do occasionally. Like most PPs have said, when the number is big enough that is enticing.

Darling Husband wouldn’t want me to waste our money on lottery tickets because his dad has a gambling problem.  I, on the otherhand, have this thought every now and then of how cool it would be to win a few thousand.  I don’t need a million dollars or something. Just winning 10K would be nice.   I’m not someone who is really lucky but then again, I’m not someone who is really unlucky.  Sometimes if something happens to me that makes me think ‘wow that’s really lucky’ i’ll go out and buy a lottery ticket.  Oh, I don’t usually buy tickets when the jackpot is very  high because odds are a ton of people are playing and the chances are lower in winning.  (I like to do the auto-pick, if I were to buy a lotto ticket. I heard you have more of a chance doing computer generated pick then if you pick out your own numbers.)

I guess in the end, I wouldn’t mind spending 5 bucks a month to lottery tickets.  As long as I don’t get obessesd and start spending a fortune on it. I think it’s fine. I guess it’s like going to the casinos, which I don’t do because I hate spending $50 or more on a card game that lasts 10 minutes. I would rather use that $50 and get a nice pair of shoes out of it. haha.  But lottery tickets, sure, I’ll play.  It’s cheap and it doesn’t break the bank. (If I remember to do it. lol)

i play the lotto all the time.

we actually know exactly what changes we’d make to our wedding depending on how much we won, if we ever did win.

Big big big winner gets us a wedding in disney world. let’s hope for that one.

My mom and I always argue with each other on the phone about lottery tickets. I tell her not to bother buying one because I already bought the winning ticket. We usually go back and forth for awhile. I’m still waiting to be a winner.

@pink.sequins: Fiance and I watch that show too and love it. I usually buy a couple whenever I stop to get gas so it’s about $5 every 2 weeks. Not too bad for us.

Alabama doesn’t have the lotto so I don’t think about it much at all now.
