I really want a photobooth for our wedding but the price does not fit into our budget. Fiance and I have been thinking about using our ipad and a clicker with a white backdrop and props to do our own.
Just wondering if anyone has pulled this off or if they encountered technically issues?

I didn’t, but I thought about it. I saw a few posts on here (and other places on the web) by people who did. Sometimes they turned out great, and others not so much but it looked like everyone had fun either way. Good luck!

I am thinking about doing this (still have 10 months to decide!) and searched through the boards for old posts about it. There are some really good tips in there. There are also some good “how-to” posts on the internet. Seems fairly straight-forward as long as you set it up so it doesn’t need much supervision.

We set up our own and used a poloroid camera.

I was considering doing a polaroid camera too, but I know NOTHING about them. How do you get them to go off at the right time? Or do you have someone man the camera? That is probably a super dumb question lol, sorry!

I think Ipad is better. Just because you can have the pictures uploaded onto a website for everyone to print out themselves at a later time. Therefore not having to spend on ink or printing materials (the most expensive part).

I am in the same boat as you a professional photobooth does not fit my budget! I am going to get everything that I need for it, and then a younger cousin of mine or two stay there to take the pics! You can even just get a cheap tripod and just have them click the button!

There is a program that you can install (on an old computer or something) and you’ll need a webcam. I think it’s called sparkbooth or something. I looked into it but I had enough DIY projects going on so we decided not to do it.
