Darling Husband and his friends love quoting movies.  One of his friends married us, and opened with the line … Mawwiage, Mawiage is what bwings us togethew today.  Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam within a dweam.  (we thought he would stop here .. but he didnt) AAAAAAAnd wove, twue wove, wiww fowow you fowevah and evah… So tweasuwe youw wove.

It was so hard to keep a straight face.  2 of my FGs love the Princess Bride and were giggling.  He then went right into our vows etc.   Afterwards my Dad was like … I can’t believe you two had the guy with a speech impedimate do your wedding ceremony.  So we had to explain it all to him.  He thought it was funny.

We didn’t personally do anything funny but when my best friend got married last year, she did! During the removal of the garter, they hid a bag of stuff under her dress so when the groom went to pull out the garter, he pulled out a pineapple, a head of lettuce, a pair of boxers, and I can’t remember what else. It was a last minute idea so the stuff was limited but it was a huge hit! If you can plan ahead it could be even funnier! We wanted to do it too but didn’t want to make her mad for stealing her idea lol

During my cousin’s wedding, he started to tear up during the vows and so did hs wife (it was sweet!).  But she (being very well endowed), pulled a hankerchief out of her bosom and wiped his eyes for him with a big flourish, and it cracked everyone up!

We said,”Absolutely, I do,” because Jim told Pam that any time she makes a pact with Dwight that that’s what she should say (on the Office). We love that show, and say that any time we make a pact (which is shockingly often!). We eloped, so it was only funny to us, and after all this time, we still find it funny!
