We did and I am SOO glad we did! 🙂
It definitely helped us both relax before the ceremony and it was just so much fun to spend time together alone 🙂 Our photographers picked an amazing location to do it and had me walk through this “aisle” of trees so it almost felt like our own private walk down the aisle moment. The photos we got from the first look are some of my favorites from the day and I would recommend it to anyone, I cant think of a single downside to doing it! Here are some of our photos to give you an idea 🙂
Edit: Sorry! I didn’t realize they would show up so big, I wouldnt’ve uploaded so many but I just wanted you to get an idea of how much fun a first look can be, and that you can take photos in different locations. You arent just limited to the initial first look if you give yourself enough time before the ceremony.

I love those!
We did first look photos too and I’m so happy we did it! It really freed up a lot of time for us 🙂

Sounds like a great idea, if your fiancee is in agreement. My fiancee was against us seeing each other before the ceremony, and our photographer suggested a separate day-after session. Yes, it meant more work the day after–we had to put on the wedding garb again, touch up my make-up (my hair had a ton of hairspray in it, and made it through the night without a hair out of place), and take a few hours off from hanging out with our families, but the session was very much worth it!! We went to multiple venues and posed our hearts out with zero stress. It also meant that on the day of the wedding, the only photos we absolutely needed to get were the family group shots–30 minutes, at most!

Thanks! I love yours too and actually showed them to my husband to try to convince him to do a firstlook because yours are so cute! 🙂

We did a first look, and I’m so glad we did. I just got the photos back from the wedding, and you can totally tell that in the pre-first-look shots we’re both totally nervous and weirded out. Once we actually saw each other and spent some time together, the photos look so much nicer.
Plus, we had some *awesome* hors d’oevres at our cocktail hour, and I did *not* want to miss them!
