I thought I was feeling naseaus when my desk started rocking.. and then realized it was an earthquake. very unsettling

I forgot to add that there was an earthquake in Colorado this morning.  Wonder if it’s related. Anyone here familiar with plate tectonics? lol

Oddly enough nobody at work felt it, maybe the metal building we’re in braced us?! lol  Just down the road though I’ve read on fb that people felt it! 

Fiance works at a state building and filing cabinets were opening, things moving and now all the buildings are evacuated and they are checking them all out!

I’m right outside of Boston, and definitely felt it. Freakiest feeling ever. The whole house shook and my dog went nutty!

I’m from Richmond…about 20 miles from where it originated. I was in Barnes & Noble and the whole place started shaking…scary stuff! Especially because while we were waiting outside, I got stuck talking to one of those end of the world types who was telling me all about the world ending and what’s going to happen.

Im in Northern Virginia….5.9 earthquake here! I got under my desk at work and told my coworker to do the same! Cant believe we had one here!

@Zinzerena: actually my family used to live in Northridge, CA where we felt a 6.8 earthquake in 1994. I didnt need to experience another earthquake in my life, especially not one of this magnitude!

I bet!  Just the tremors were freaky enough! 

I’m just praying that’s it.  I twisted my ankle yesterday, and having to hobble down 27 fligths of stairs sounds like the worst.
