We filled it all out at the rehearsal and then the officiant signed it after the ceremony and sent it in!  I know we’re official since we’ve gotten our marriage certificate from the state since.  I’m sure you’re fine!

we almost forgot to fill ours out..our officiant signed his portion and left it for us. we didn’t sign it til the very end of the reception, and someone gave it back to him he next day to mail in for us later. I think as long as you both fill it out and send it back in before the license expires you should be fine.  we just got our cert in the mail yesterday! 🙂

My wedding is a week away but my understanding is that, since we signed the license at the court house, we don’t sign it at the wedding.

We had to sign ours at the clerks office. I’m sure you signed it there because on ours there wasn’t a place for us to sign again.

We didn’t have to sign anything at our marriage ceremony. It really weirded me out too! We signed our marriage license when we applied for it at the county clerk’s office, and then on the day we were married our priest signed that he had performed the marriage. I actually didn’t even see him do this; all I did was the ceremony. All through my honeymoon I was panicking that I wasn’t really married, but about three weeks later our marriage certificates arrived in the mail. I was married in Georgia, Fulton County. So it can happen — don’t worry 🙂

We didn’t sign anything on the license either. I thought it was weird too, but since there wasn’t a space to sign I didnt worry about it.  We had to raise our right hands and each consent to the marriage when we applied for the license, so maybe that was it.  I also thought it was weird we didnt have to have witnesses sign it – I guess that’s more of a ceremonial thing?

We got married in Massachusetts, and only the officiant signs the license (not us, not any witnesses).  Each state has different requirements.

My Maid/Matron of Honor got married in Texas this past weekend, and there was no where for them (or any witnesses) to sign on their certificate as well.  They were told at the county office that they didn’t need to because they signed there.

We didnt have to sign anything..only our officiant. We had done everything beforehand at the courthouse and the only signature on that baby was the officiant’s and then it was off to get filed! And we are officially married!
