(Closed) did anyone else not sleep last night?

I didn’t feel like going to bed until after 1am. I didn’t feel sleepy, so I took 2 benadryl. That always knocks me out.

I haven’t had more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep in 8 months. Life with a kid, it’s glamorous. ๐Ÿ™‚

catpeaches:  My Nutritionist suggested 2 things that work for me.

1) Get more magnesium in your life–thorough supplements and/or through your skin like an epsom salt bath right before bed or magnesium oil spray or lotion that you rub into your skin 15-30 mins before bed. 

2) You may need just a little boost of carbs and electrolytes before sleeping (or to help you if you wake up in the middle of the night). So she suggested a 4:1 (or 5:1 based on taste) of sugar:salt mixture that you take a pinch of and let it dissolve on your tongue. 

I have in the past (not when pregnant or ttc) used successfully melatonin. I like the time-release stuff. Totally helps me fall alseep so quickly with no side effects.
