I keep trying my dress on, and I guess it’s the OCD in me, but my eyes go straight to these little imperfections that can’ t be fixed. My maids have said it looks great and all, but I can’t help but see those little things that are just part of wearing anything not painted on. You know, little areas where the dress bunches slightly because its made from cloth. Or how it seems to obvious to me that my chest is a tad lopsided. So I need some encouragement with about 5 weeks to go! Married bees, did you see little things that no one else could? Am I being stupid? What advice can you give those of us fretting over tiny details?

@KevinsWife: No. I know they’re not a big deal and I don’t want to focus on them anymore… more looking for advice to overlook the fact that I’m not wearing something painted on me. I mean, it’s like anything. Nothing is made to fit you so perfectly, you know? I’ve even seen girls on TV saying they see some issue and the seamstress is telling them it won’t fit like a glove (even at Kleinfeld!)

Imagine you’re a bridesmaid to a bride with this concern. What advice would you give her? You clearly know the answer– the dress looks great, and certain spots will move as you move.

I was very picky with my dress, and the day before the wedding, I was still noticing things that no one else could see. Honestly though, on my wedding day, those imperfections were the furthest thing from my mind, and looking back at the pictures, I don’t even see them. I’m sure you look gorgeous in your dress! Don’t sweat the small stuff. I know it’s hard to think like that now, but believe me, once your day comes, there will be so much else going on, you won’t even think about it (and no one else will notice)!
