Here’s mine, except in platinum. We went together to pick it out and as soon as I slid it on my finger, I knew it was the one. I didn’t want any prongs, and it is SO low-profile, it doesn’t catch on anything. I LOVE it. My fiance tried to get me to go for a bigger diamond, but I really like my dainty little ring. I get a lot of pitying looks though, and people have mentioned it’s small. Rude, I know, but still something I deal with. I feel like I have to keep bailing my fiance out: “I picked it out! He wanted to get me a huge rock!” Plus, that ring is NOT cheap, so it’s not like he got it because he didn’t want to spend the money on a bigger one. It’s just the one I wanted! Anyone else in the same boat?

I really like your ring! I wouldn’t mind a smaller e-ring at all. I don’t like high prongs so any e-ring I got would hopefully be very low. I would be very happy with an e-ring like yours!
ETA: It’s super rude that people say it’s small. I’d be like yes but it’s the one I wanted…and it’s from Tiffanys…suck it.

@cooperke87: Beautiful! I would love somethingike that for when I’m active, I bet it’s super comfortable and I would love the fact that it doesn’t catch on things! But no, lol, I want a 1+ carat. All of my fun jewelry is really chunky, it’s just what I like.

That made me LOL!!
I think it’s beautiful!! I don’t want a big ring either, I don’t dress in a way that it’d look right (I’m a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl!). My SO picked out a solitaire with a halo setting that’s .75 tcw and it’s PERFECT 🙂 to each her own!

@cooperke87: Can I just say that there is something so classy about that ring?! It’s beautiful, and I’m in the camp that bigger doesn’t equal better. Enjoy the ring you love!

@cooperke87: I didn’t want a huge ring because I don’t have a very big finger and I felt like some of the rings took up half my hand. I love the one I got and because I wanted a smaller one, it was way under budget!

I wanted a smaller ring. I’m not really into wearing a lot of jewelry and rarely wear rings. So I wanted something very comfortable and very low profile. I also work in a lab and often have to wear gloves, I didn’t want my ring getting in the way. Lastly, I am so clumsy! I wanted something that was secure and not likely to get caught on anything or lose stones if when I bang it against something. So I also picked out my ring and went with a smaller low profile solitaire. I love it! But I do get some comments – many at this point ask about my wedding band like “will it have a little more to it to compensate?”…how rude. However, large rings are not the norm around here and most of my friends have rings with center stones close to mine and very few over or even at 1CT. So it doesn’t stand out that much among people I know as being “small”.

@cooperke87: That ring is seriously STUNNING. It is so classy and elegant, anybody giving pitying looks at that ring is an IDIOT. Wow, I am in love with that ring, definitely one of my favorite in the hive.

I have a small engagement ring. The main stone is probably a quarter carat with two tiny diamonds on each side. I love it mainly becasue it was my great grandmothers and my aunt gave it to my fiance. Just knowing the history behind my ring makes it 100 times more valuable than a huge stone. I didn’t want a huge diamond anyway, I think it’s a waste of money and a person’s love shouldn’t be based on how much they spend on you.

I originally chose a .5 carot solitaire but it was such a high setting and just looked way too big to me. I returned it and got a .25 carot which I am much happier with. I know i am in the minority but i really do like my smaller ring

i love your ring!
i didn’t want anything big. i have very small hands and skinny fingers (i’m a size 3), so a giant rock would look ridiculous on me, plus it’s just not my style.
i don’t know the specifics about my ring, so i can’t tell you carat size or anything, but i think it’s a good size for me- you don’t need a magnifying glass to see it, but’s not a huge thing either 🙂

@Bazinga: +1 and Lol @ telling them to suck it! I would totally do that!

I LOVE your ring! It’s super classy and timeless. Gorgeous!
Like you, I didn’t want a big diamond. I have a size 2.5 finger and big rings looked silly on me. My ring is 1/3 carat and I think it’s the perfect size for me 🙂

I told my boyfriend, nothing over .7 cts! Even that is pretty huge to me!

@cooperke87: I love that ring!
I will never understand people mocking/judging others on the size of their diamonds, it’s crazy!
