I LOVE my small diamond. It’s totally practical for everyday wear. Everytime I look at it, I feel happy Honestly, When I look at some of the giant rocks on the ‘Bee, I have to wonder how they wear them day in and day out, despite how beautiful they are. I’ve never been one to care about “status” anyway. I coud have gotten something bigger if it was important to me, but it wasn’t.
My new favorite pic that is also my avatar:

I’m almost afraid to ask, but what is a CHAV?

I LOVE that ring! The details on it are really beautiful, and I love the combination of the bkue stone with the yellow gold. Good for you for going against the grain and getting what you love. I’m sorry for the negative feedback you are getting. Why people are so interested in what other people wear on the fingers is beyond me(aside from admiring them on a wedding site to drool over, lol.).

It stands for “Council Housed and Violent”, LOL. Look up “Vicky Pollard” on Youtube…

I’m sorry people are so rude. Any engagement ring is given as part of the most important conversation you’ll ever have, spending your life with someone else. If he gave you a ring pop people should be gracious and considerate. BTW I don’t think it’s small at all, I think it’s elegant and timeless.

I actually am thinking that I don’t want an engagement ring at all just a plain band that I’ll have foreva

I know this thread is old, but thought I would add my two cents too! 🙂
I had/have a large (to me) e-ring, center diamond is 1.12ct and the diamond on the bands add up to about .35ct twt. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE this ring, hubby proposed with it…that being said the diamond sits up very high and while it’s pretty…it is not practical for me. It was fine up until we had kids…((sigh)) I scratched my infant daughter with it twice and that was it for me 🙁 I did take it to the jeweler to see if the stone could be set lower in the mounting, but it couldn’t be…so, off it came. That was about 7 years ago and up until January of this year I only wore it once in a while…usually when we would go out, which isn’t too often anymore.
I honestly could care less what size diamond I have and in January I was on ebay just “window shopping” and happend to see a quarter carat Tiffany ring…I fell in love with it. Hubby bought it for me and I haven’t taken it off since. It’s super comfortable, because it’s small and sits low I don’t have to worry about scratching my kids and I can wear it all the time. I wish I had gotten it the first time! I don’t have a pic of it on my hand, but it’s my avatar picture. I have a size 5 finger and yes….it does look small, but what it lacks in size it makes up in, in sparkle…it’s like a tiny disco ball on my finger.
I so love seeing everyones “small” rings 🙂

Me and my boyfriend/future fiance ordered my ring a week or so ago and it’s perfect. It’s a 1/3 carat solitare. I am not one to wear jewelry so I didn’t want a big ring. My family is the type that expects me to get a huge ring but that’s not what I wanted. I am going to wear two bands with it, one on top and one on bottom. The reason for that being that I wear a 10.5 and I feel like I need coverage but not with a huge stone.
