Yep. I went off the pill in March, and became pregnant in April, making the little one currently sleeping in my arms our little honeymoon baby. We definitely did not expect it to happen that quickly, and while I’m thrilled with my little girl, I would have preferred to have one year of marriage under our belts before she arrived.

@Miss Grey: First of all–Congratulations!! I either had a chemical pregnancy or got a record number of false positives my first month off BCP (not sure and I guess I’ll never know), but my 2nd month off, I got my real BFP. I have been reading all the struggles that so many women (here on the bee) have been going through to get pregnant and I was certain it would take me a while. I never thought it would happen so quickly and it makes me feel almost guilty for it.
I’m 5 weeks today and due roughly Oct 7th. If you’re 6 weeks, does that put you on or around Oct 1? If so, come join us in the October 2013 Babies thread! 🙂

Congrats!! This happened to me with DS. I went off the pill in October and got my BFP the very next month. This time I finished my last pack of pills in August and got my BFP in November.

@Miss Grey: First of all, congratulations! I went off my birth control pill and fell pregnant immediately. I never got a period. Sadly I miscarried that pregnancy at 13 weeks, but just a month later, I found out I was pregnant again and am now just over 16 weeks.

This happened to both my sister and me. I went off BCP in May and got my BFP in June. Just had my little girl in January!
My sister also went off BCP for exactly one month and got pregnant in that window.

Yep, I also got pregnant the first cycle off my BCP (as in, I never had a real period after finishing my last pack). I was also thinking it might take a while because it seems like I was always hearing stories about ladies who struggled, especially after being on the pill for a long time, but I think that it also happens fairly often that it’s fast and somehow you just don’t hear about those stories as often. But congrats to you! So exciting!!!

Yup. Finished my pills in early October and found out I was pregnant November 16th. I never got a period after I went off BCP. And I was on BCP or depo or the nuvo ring on and off for 10 years. So it happens.

@Miss Grey: Congrats!!! Yes, I came off the pill at the very end of April / first week in May…. Got pregnant in June and got my BFP July 8th…. This was after being on the Depo and BCP for 15+ years with no break….

Yep, Darling Husband and I got pregnant my first cycle off BCP. It was definitely a surprise as I wasn’t expecting anything to happen that quickly. And we weren’t necessarily trying all that hard. I will be 32 weeks on Thursday. 🙂
