I’m not married yet but I’d like my FI and I to have a door between us as we read a small letter that we both wrote for each other for the day of the wedding. <3

What a beautiful photo!  Yes, my DH and I had a “first look” prior to our ceremony.

We did too. We took all our formal photos then and got to talk and calm each other down. It was romantic and sweet and I wouldn’t change it for the world so glad we did it!

After I walked down the aisle, but before the ceremony began, we hugged and I whispered in his ear, “It’s okay, puppy.” He was in floods of tears and I wanted to comfort him.

We did! We had a first look and then spent about 30 minutes alone right before the wedding. It was perfect and helped both of us to focus on what our wedding day was really about.

    From our first look:

We also totally had an impromtu dance party, just because:

my fiance and i will be seeing each other before the wedding…for a few reasons.

    1. i get extremely nervous when large groups of people look at me (i’ve been known to black out and not remember anything), so to try and prevent that we will have that time to be together so that when i see him at the end of the aisle, he will be comforting me…and i wont be wondering what he is thinking about the dress, etc.

    2. pictures! we are having a later wedding, to reduce the amount of time in between the wedding and reception, so we will be using some time before hand to that.

We are getting married in TWELVE days and we are going to write each other notes and pass them around the corner to one another and read them before the ceremony.  We aren’t writing our own vows for the ceremony (too personal for us) so we are doing prewedding vows in the notes.  I’m excited, but running out of days to write this letter haha.

@SpecialSundae:  Wow, this picture and the story that goes with it may be the most beautiful thing ever. I can literally feel the love radiating through my computer screen.

We did first look pictures and I’m so glad we did.  It really was the only mostly alone time all day. And it helped calm the nerves for the walk down the aisle.

And then this was a moment we snuck off to the side right after the ceremony, before we did family pics. I didn’t even realize the photographer was there.

we did a first look like many others bees… my favorite thing we did was “yichud”, a jewish tradition. This happens right after the ceremony and is time for the bride and groom to have some time together, alone (no photographer even). We went into a private room and took goofy pictures on hubs phone pretending to be freaked out that we are married. We also had some hors de voures as we would be taking pictures during cocktail hour. it was the only time of the night that was JUST US, and it was actually our favorite part of the wedding
