Browneyedbelle92:  My Fiance chose my ring but I gave him pretty specific guidelines on what I like. I told him I wanted a white gold, art deco style ring that was inexpensive, with small diamonds, and geometric details. He chose the perfect thing. I showed him lots of example photos of what I liked, and made it very clear of what I did not want (solitaires, modern designs, anything with a high setting).

My Fiance picked out the ring on his own, I just told him no diamonds. He ended up getting me the perfect ring – 3 stone pave sapphire and white gold ring. I absolutely love it 🙂

my fiancé and I went ring shopping a handful of times together. Basically feeling each other out; what he liked… What I liked. Then, I turned it over to him. My mom made the comment about what I would do if I got a ring I didn’t like… The thought never crossed my mind. I knew it would be perfect. And it is perfect. 🙂

Browneyedbelle92:  Yep! DH picked the ring all by himself. I was so carefree about what it looked liked, as long as it came from him and it symbolized our commitment. DH was super picky. He had the exact style he liked and wanted to give me. It’s funny how he had wayyyy more qualifications for an e-ring than me! I love it of course, he did a wonderful job

I sent my sweetie several pictures of styles I like, told him I preferred yellow gold over white and I definitely needed a solitaire 1 carat or bigger-we are older and I wanted something that I could feel proud of and was reflective of our age. So no kiddie rings.

He insisted on doing it all by himself-why he didnt include my sister or best friend I have no idea, maybe he didn’t want them to know his budget-heck I didn’t even know his budget. But when he surprised me with a beautifully planned proposals I was definitely surprised to say the least. What he picked out was a cluster ring in platinum.

To spare you the details let me just state-we married in July and that ring is not the one on my finger. He changed it although it’s still platinum and not yellow gold-but everyone is happy. Sometimes surprises don’t always go as expected. 🙂

For the ladies that loved their ring at first sight-I am happy for you. Your SO had great taste in jewelry, my sweetie just had great taste in women, not so much in jewelry too.

My Fiance knew I like yellow gold, diamonds and pearls. Other than that I wasn’t completely sure what I even liked in an engagement ring! We looked at a few stores but none seriously. He bought the ring all by himself and then showed my mum and his mum.

When he told me the story of chosing it, he said he wasn’t looking for a ring just yet but saw it and knew that was the one so he just went in a bought it! They all then kept it a secret from me for 6 months before he proposed!

My fiance picked it. I definitely showed him pics of what I liked and we even went to look at rings together but the final decision was all on his own and it was the opposite of what I wanted lol

Sort of both….:)

He tells me one day out of the blue that he was having so much anxiety picking out a ring because he wanted me to love it and then he showed me two of the rings he was thinking of online. THEY WERE BOTH SO PERFECT and very ME. I told him I loved them both and that I wanted to be surprised as to which one he bought.

Two days ago on our anniversary I found out which one it was! Its a blossom cut stone with diamond band. Its simple but man does it sparkle!!!

Couldnt be happier!
