I didn’t. I giggled like a little girl, and it kept going for like a day and a half afterwards.

I was feeling such an emotional mixture of overwhelmed/shocked/happy that I barely got a “Yes” out between sobs.. But in my defense, his tears set me off in the first place!

I cry at the drop of a hat.

I’m not a crier normally, but when Fiance proposed I cried. It was just a huge surprise (to him too actually, but that’s a different story). When he proposed officially with the ring though, nope, not even a wettening of the eyeballs. I think it was the happy surprise that made me cry the first time.

I didn’t cry when he proposed, technically.

Because Fiance is notorious for not being able to keep a secret… he showed me the ring the DAY BEFORE he proposed. That’s when I cried. Happy cry, not sad cry because he wouldn’t let me keep the ring lol – he told me I had to wait one more day for him to speak to my dad.

@SparkleBee11:  omg i was the same!!! I was shaking when I found out fi bought the ring and was nervous and couldn’t sleep well and stuff leading up to the proposal. When he did it I was jumping up and down and screaming smiling because it felt awkward and silly.

@MrsKPreK – I just got engaged about 3 hours ago and I didn’t cry! I always though I would, but there we were, everything was amazing, the ring was BEYOND amazing, and all I could do was laugh hysterically!

@Peacockfeather:  You have a degree in something and can’t/won’t cite sources and resort to insulting others when they question your “facts.” You would rather “uninformed people” educate themselves using Google instead of presenting them with sources to facts that you have “expert’ knowledge in.  Are you sure your degree isn’t in Politics?

kinda…i didn’t cry from the proposal but i cried when he handed me a card from my parents. they mean the world to me and for him to include them in our special moment even though they couldn’t physically be there sent me over the edge.

I welled up and got a little teary, but thankfully no sobs or anything! It’s not like I was surprised, but I was overwhelmed that it was finally happening. And I was shocked when I saw his best friend taking photos of us. All in all I think I handled it pretty well!

I didn’t cry.  I don’t even think I was close to crying.  I was so overwhelmed with happiness, but body probably could not have produced a tear if it tried.

I think I was too in shock to cry when it happened. It wasn’t until later when it really sank in that I actually cried, which seemed really weird to me.
