I felt this weird feeling in my stomach when I realized he was proposing, but no tears. I probably won’t be able to hold back when we get married though…

Congrats on your engagement!!!
No I did not cry! 2 reasons 1) I am so not the emotional type at all. I don’t really cry at happy things. I cry at sad things people dying. Sad movies things like that yes. 2) I totally knew it was coming cause I peeked and saw the ring in the drawer the day before Valentine’s Day. I pretended to be surprised so I was trying to act surprised/cry/say yes……hahahaha. It was still perfect:)
No tears here! I knew it was coming within that weekend, so it wasn’t a shock. However, I did start shaking uncontrollably to the point where my Fiance wanted to know if I was ok. Haha!
Yes I cried a bit and the most embaressing part is he loves to tell people that too!!
I didn’t really cry until a half hour or so after he asked me and I am a total crier. I really think the experience is something like happy shock! I DID however experience what I can only describe as tunnel vision – it was like everything else besides him went fuzzy and my knees were shaking SO bad I thought I was going to pass out. I just kept saying “Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmyGOD! ohmygod” and totally freaking out. I think at one point I told him I was going to throw up. Ha! His favorite part of the proposal is that when he got down on one knee and held out the ring, I grabbed it from his hand without even letting him put it on my hand and started screeching. I was just so excited!
So happy for you 🙂
I didn’t cry either! I was just really happy and excited 🙂
Also I didn’t cry when I found my dress….but I just knew it was the one. I know a lot of ladies cry but I didn’t and thats ok. When I get really emotional….I get red everywhere! My face and chest were all red and splotchy….really hoping that doesn’t happen during the ceremony!
didn’t mama ever tell you not to trust everything you read off the internet?!
As for the rest, thank you ladies for your posts! I know I’m a bit behind but I am coming up to my THIRD proposal from my fiance. First I cried after but wanted to wait to tell the family when we had a ring, second time I laughed hysterically at his impatience because he couldnt wait a month for the ring to arrive and now I’m just patiently waiting on the third and very nervous that I won’t react how I want!
I actually couldn’t stop giggling, I’m not sure if it was a nervous mechanism or what?!?
I cried, but I’m a crier!!! I cry at commercials. I feel like the one in Mean Girls who has lots of feelings sometimes!!!
I teared up a bit, but no tear fall! FI was surprised but not disappointed, I don’t think.
I’m going to cry like a baby during vows I bet!
Yes, I cried… A LOT! It was such an overwhelmingly happy moment. It was the best moment of my life to date! I cry when I see people getting married and having babies too. However, while I was extremely happy when I tried on the wedding dress of my dreams, that did not cause me to cry.
