That sounds SO cute and I was thinking about doing that for my Fiance, too! I haven’t looked into Home Depot but have you checked into Bass Pro? That’s what I was kinda leaning towards. What about Sears? I don’t know if they have guns but I do know that they have all the manly type toys like tools and such. ha so cute!!

I’m not cuz we live in a NYC apartment but I have a friend who did and she was sooooo glad she did!  They were able to do so many projects that probably would have taken them a long time to get to!  It was such a good idea for them 🙂

Exactly my reasonings!! I don’t know about yours, but my Fiance is pretty laid back and whatever makes me happy but every now and then he has specific things that he wants and so I try to make it happen. I think this is a great way to make him feel a part of it and like it’s his day, too. Good luck with figuring it out!!

That sounds so irritating! I didn’t even know the HD had registries (when I first checked it out, I didn’t see anything). On our wedding website’s registry section, we just listed the HD and indicated the gift cards would be welcome as we work on home improvement projects.

I looked in to registering at Home Depot but like you found there was too much red tape and it would be a pain for the guests. I am looking in to Sears since they have tools for Fiance but he actually found a lot of camping gear at Target so we might just stick with BBB & Target.

I called Home Depot and Lowes Home Imporovement last week and they both said that they no longer have wedding registries

@roxy821: Hi, my husband and i eloped in June and now we will be having a reception for family and friends in August. We  registered at Home Depot last night and it was awesome! We simply went to our neighborhood store costumer service desk where they gave us two clip boards to go around and write down retail numbers of anything and everything we might need in our new home. You do have to make a written list, but the customer service rep will then enter the info into their data base after you leave. On the top our list, there is an account number which represents the specific store we registered at. this number is what guests will use at their neighborhood stores to access our account. so in short, all our guests have to know is the account # of the store we registered at and then they can visit their own neighborhood home depot and ask a costumer service rep to print it out for them. Pretty easy. The system is not as savvy as Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel I’m sure, but come on ITS HOME DEPOT! I’ve never seen my husband so excited before. He walked around the store with a big smile on his face registering for man tools and man toys such a fish fryer and hedge trimmer. It was fun for me too! I registered for a hammock, plants,  and fancy front door! Every item on our list is something that will help us build our new home and life together. One last thing, my husband sat down with a store rep to discuss the garage he wants to build. They are now putting together a lumbar package for us. So literally, we are registering for a double garage!! Good luck to fellow Home Depot fans!!
