I live in sneakers. Love them. I plan on wearing actual shoes for the ceremony and then changing into sneakers(blinged out, of course)for the reception.
Did anyone wear sneakers? Pics would be great!

Cyclebride: My wedding hasn’t happened yet but I will be wearing both of these shoes for my wedding! I feel in love with the rose gold heels but I knew I wouldn’t be able to stand them for long! My fianc and his men are wearing nikes too! 🙂

Cyclebride: I made these for mine. Not exactly “sneakers” but not dress shoes…

A colleague wore Converse shoes at her wedding. And let’s not forget the Steve Martin remake of the movie Father of the Bride where he was a sneaker manufacturer and made his daughter/bride custom sneakers for her wedding :).

Cyclebride: I went to a wedding where the groom was really into comics/Star Wars, etc….all the groomsmen had a different pair of converse with a character on them- AND so did the BRIDE! Under her gown. It was super cute.

I’m wearing heels like this to the ceremony
Then these for the fun party time afterwards

I’m not engaged, but I will definitely wear heels (I love them) and later on switch into flats. Sneakers aren’t really my thing, but comfortable footwear to dance would be great ~

craigslistgirl: That movie is part of the reason I think it’s fun when brides wear sneakers! It’s in my mental list of rebuttals for when my mom pitches a fit against me wearing sneakers for my wedding!
Cyclebride: I haven’t yet, but I plan to wear classic slip on Vans. It’ll give me an excuse to buy a new pair that I will also wear after the wedding!

Myself and the girls wore heels for the ceremony (husbands request, I would have preferred not to!), but we wore these right after:
