I’m worried about this too! Mine is still so unpredictable that there will be no telling if I will in advance or not ๐Ÿ™ I still have a year, hopefully, maybe I can get it ironed out before then though! my Fiance suggested knocking me up right before the wedding! ha

I’m planning on skipping the inactive tablets so should be all ok for me ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe that’s an option for you?

I was going to stop BC a few months before the wedding so we can TTC shortly after but for this reason and this alone I am staying on it should I need to fend AF off for the wedding and honeymoon!

@miss.wiggums:  haha love your fiances plan! He sounds like mine!  Mine keeps joking that our future baby can be our +1 – no hunny it doens’t work that way, the bride and groom don’t get a +1! At least not THIS Bride and groom! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m on an iud so I have to track my periods on an app called period tracker. A few months ago it said af would be here and I was so annoyed since I can’t skip it with bcp’s. Now the app says it won’t be and since it’s almost always right to the day then I’m trusting it! I’d recommend downloading it, after seeing your cycles a few months it will forecast for you

@MsJ2theZ:  I use that app too. Unfortunately, I am SUPER regular, and Period Tracker is spot on… and AF day 1 is scheduled for the day before our wedding. ๐Ÿ™ I am so scared I’m going to a bloated, raging bitch on the big day! Oh also, I used to be on the pill and am not anymore, so I don’t really have an option to change it.

I got my period while on my honeymoon, but it wasn’t a big deal. I tend to have light periods without much cramping. I didn’t want to alter my period cycle, so I let it come whenever it wanted to.

Mine was supposed to be with me on my wedding day, and for our entire honeymoon, so I changed my cycle by not taking a week off my pill, and taking it straight though. Hopefully it works.

I am on birth control that means I always start at the same time.  I fully expect to be on my period on my wedding which is Saturday.  It is like an exact science.  I will start tomorrow morning at around 9 am and then Saturday will be the last day of it.  I am unconcerned.  All of the negative side effects like the bloating and breakouts will have died down by then and my already light period should be at its lightest.  It definitely wont slow us down on the wedding night either.  It has never stopped us before.

I find it “a tad” humourous that this age-old problem still plagues young Brides today.

Considering that I was married the first time 30+ Years ago… and quickly figured out that I could delay Autie Flow making an unwanted Guest Appearance, merely by manipulating my Birth Control Pills (skip the placebos)

I find it a bit unusual to hear that others haven’t figured this out, or aren’t on the pill (realize tho that it isn’t the ideal BC for everyone)

Lol, sadly this time round…

I am the will of Mother Nature.  At 50+ Years old, and lonnnng off the pill, I still get regular visits, and I HATE the old hag more than ever !!

At this point in my life, my periods are super unpredictable… have a regular one, skip a month, have two in one month… heavy, light, there is no rhyme or reason… and at over 40 years of this nonsense, it really and truly is a pain.

Mr TTR and I travel a lot, and he likes to joke that we seem to continually go on vacation with Auntie Flo in the mix… she loves to show up just in time to make the car trip, or catch the plane.  I can probably live with her on my Wedding Day (although I hope not to, we are eloping… so NO UNIVITED GUESTS, lol)… but I’d definitely LOVE it if she missed the cruise ship for our Honeymoon.

Oh well… the not so “joyous” moments of being a woman.

She did!  It was annoying because I wore a Spanx-like body suit, which made tampon changing a pain in the ass.  Other than that, I didn’t even notice she was around.

I was also annoyed that hubs and I wouldn’t be able to “play” on the night of our wedding, but we ended up being so tired by the time we got to our hotel room, it wasn’t going to happen either way.

Luckily she hit the read before we left for the honeymoon.
