    Really good question.   Mine was $2100 before alterations.  I am torn.  I am a first time bride at 47yrs old.  I will not have a child to pass the dress on to.  I was completely convinced I was selling it, but now, I’m not sure.   I don’t think I want to part with it.

    I will be keeping my dress, My daughter wants it. She’s 13 so i have a reason to hang onto it.

    Saying that i am not taking out a second mortgage for my dress either.

    @gramgeek:  I agree!  No one should buy a dress thinking they will be able to sell it afterwards (ie if you can’t afford it unless you sell it afterwards)

    @Brielle:  I’ve seen the same!  30% off for a used, not yet cleaned gown?  Even if it is a Vera Wang, it’s not worth it IMO!  I’ve read you should at least list a used gown for around 50-60% off.
