Also 5’5″ and about 150. I’m 32, size 6/8 street clothes (10 bridal in my very fitted sheath dress). I won’t ever be 120/130 again without being extraordinarily unhealthy, because I’m not 20. Im 32. So no, im not my slimmest ever, but I AM my strongest. I PRd my back squat and bench press two days ago, and can do more push ups now that I ever could at 20 (not sure if I could even do 1 then)!

plus, my dress looks AMAZING on me.

So no, I didn’t drop a size for the wedding, and I’m not super skinny. But I’m totally ok with that.

I stayed pretty much the same weight before, during, and now a year after. I might have gained a couple pounds since the wedding, but that’s winter weight, lol.

Nope. I thought about it and then realized I didn’t care enough to not eat bread and cake. I’m naturally slender anyway, but for some reason even thin people feel the need to diet.

weddinggirl2009 :  this Is a little presumptuous of a post. I personally have been so hungry before my wedding all the time in four months, I don’t know that I will lose weight. I think it’s kind of condescending to be assuming everyone is losing weight before her wedding, when really some of us aren’t or don’t feel we need to.

I lost about 5 lbs the mo the vote but that’s because I had gained about 15 over the year before due to a medication I was on. Since I got off that current medication, I’ve been able to keep that 5 off but haven’t lost or gained more since my wedding 7 mo the ago.

When I bought my wedding dress, I weighed 178lbs and had the intention of getting down to around 160.

On my wedding day, I was still exactly 178lbs lol which is a 12-14 UK size. I put on weight after I bought my dress, and struggled to get it off again so I was happy overall, even if I was more than I would have liked to be.

weddinggirl2009 :  I would focus on being healthy and not on a number. You can be very unhealthy and a lower number. Also, I think posting numbers on the bee is not the best idea. It just makes people feel bad.

I just started to eat a bit healthier, with the goal of becoming healthier!  I had weight issues in the past, and I didn’t want to slip down that rabbit hole, full well knowing I wouldn’t be able to loose what I would ideally want and feeling like I failed.  I’m just embracing who I am now, eating both my carrots and cake!  I plan on using some simple shapewear to smooth out some bumps, but that’s about it!

On your wedding day, if you’re surrounded by those you love, and those that truly love you, there will be no judgement.  There will only be pure joy for you, for the fact that you are so happy and so loved!

I’m hoping to take off a few pounds, because I’ve put on a little weight since getting engaged, but it’s not a priority! And I’m overweight, so if I do lose a little weight, it’ll be mostly because I just need to lose weight to be healthier, not because of the wedding!

I didn’t lose weight for my wedding. Granted, I workout regularly and eat healthy for the most part so I didn’t feel like I needed to lose weight. I probably dropped 5 lbs in the last month before because when I get anxious/stressed I tend to not eat as much, but that wasn’t intentional weight loss. Now since the wedding I am the same size as I usually always am. My mom however used my wedding as an excuse to drop major weight. Which she did.. she went from a size 16 to a size 6/8. She looks fabulous and has kept the weight off to this day.
