Just out of curiousity… what are your feelings on Fiance seeing your dress before the wedding? You in the dress? I know some people have very traditional feelings about this, but I’ve seen others bring Fiance dress shopping with them for opinions.
As for me, Fiance has seen the dress, but not me IN the dress. I’m not sure I care too much either way… it’s just how it’s worked out.

He’s not seeing me in it, a picture of me in it, or a picture of it.
We’re doing a first look though, so he can see then. I’d just rather have him be surprised.

Darling Husband went dress shopping with me, at my request. Honestly I can’t think of a single person whose opinion I value more, and the thought of spending half a day running around in my underwear in between dresses with my girl pals just wasn’t doing it for me.
Had the unexpected and completely wonderful twist that he paid the deposit on the dress 😀
And he would have paid the balance, despite my protesting (really, my dress = my expense), if we hadn’t had logistical issues that kept him from the first alterations appointment.
I’ll admit, it did feel a little awkward when I first asked him to come shopping with me, but once I realised that the earth wouldn’t fall from its orbit if he saw the dress before the wedding, it was all fine and good. He was still surprised and impressed with the final look once I had hair, makeup, and accessories.

I voted that he saw a picture of the dress but not me in it…before I ever tried it on or knew it was “my dress”, I was looking through a magazine and showed it to him to see what he thought. So both he and I had no idea it would become my dress and he still doesn’t know.

I’ve shown in pictures of the dress on the model and liked it. He saw a picture of the dress on me (on the Bee with my head cut off and I told him it was someone else) and thought it was ok. It was like he didn’t even register it was the same dress lol. I’m not worried though men are dense when it comes to wedding dresses.

in fact, when it was time to purchase it, my dh insisted on paying for it.

I found out a couple of weeks before my wedding that my dress would not be ready in time. It was horrifying. My Husband was totally keepin me together as I felt like I was going to have a nervous breakdown! He went shopping with me a d made me feel ok abouofmy dress, which at that point I really needed. Turns out this was all a blessing in disguise. The dress I bought last minute was beautiful! Way better than the other dress. 🙂

He didn’t see it on me or in pictures, we both were very serious about it being a surprise. I value his opinion a lot but I knew as long as it showed off the ta-ta’s he’d love it and he did.

My Darling Husband saw me in the dress when he went to the seamstress with me about 3 weeks before we got married. I didn’t care because I knew he would forget what it looked like anyway. I’ll bet he couldn’t tell you right now what it looked like. LOL

My Fiance has no idea what exact dress I picked BUT he does know that it is not a ballgown. I wouldn’t mind showing him a little sneak peak cell phone pic but he insists on keeping it a surprise. We were recently at a wedding where the bride wore a VERY similar dress to mine. He made about two or three comments about liking the dress … so that’s a good thing!

Funny story… At one point I was trying to sell my Casablanca gown. So I had my Fiance (now H) take photos of me in the gown, so I could create listings for the gown online.
Then a couple months later, I decided to wear that exact gown after much deliberation. He didn’t see me with my hair/makeup/jewelry all done up though.

Nope, he didn’t see the dress or me in the dress until I walked down the aisle 🙂 He told me I did good 🙂

I was editing picture for WeddingBee of me in the dress, and he saw it. 🙁 So yes. He’s seen it. We’re both making extra sure that he doesn’t see it again.

So, he saw a picture of the dress among many pictures of dresses, but he doesn’t know which one it is. I don’t care, but he didn’t want to see it. I thought it was nice he could give opinions though and still be surprised.
