My soon-to-be hubby was nervous too, so he spaced it on the whole bended knee thing! A small piece of me kinda wishes he had, and so does he….but it was our moment, and we loved it just the same.

We were on a float plane flying around the Pacific Northwest when he proposed!  He was buckled in (as was I!) so a bended knee was impossible.  I couldn’t even hear the poor guy!!! haha!

It was awesome, adventurous, and I don’t even remember landing on the water!

DH had decorated our hotel room in Miami in the middle of the afternoon, so when I saw it, I totally was NOT expecting it. I was so shocked that I turned around to hug him and he was on bended knee already, that I completely tripped over him.

Totally hilarious and 100% clumsy me!

He totally did and I didn’t expect it at all.  We had decided to get married about 2 weeks before the actual proposal.  In fact, we were telling people we were engaged weeks before it as well.  O?nce we bought the e-ring and wedding bands he decided to not give me my e-ring until he properly proposed.  I knew the proposal was coming on V-day, as the ring came in that day and he was planning it like that.  It wasn’t until we were walking towards the spot he would propose in that I realized what was happening.  When we arrived to the spot, he dropped on a knee in the freezing cold outdoors and asked me to be his wife, which I absolutely accepted!  It was amazing that he did a real proposal and we now consider the real proposal as the actual date we got engaged.

Yes, he did. In the mud no less! I have to admit that I would have been kind of disappointed if he didn’t go down on bended knee.

Neither Fiance nor I are big on being the center of attention, so I’m SO glad he didn’t get down on one knee! I would have been mortified. When I was younger I always day dreamed (day dreamt?) that my Fiance would get down on one knee but when it happened I realized it was better for us that he didn’t. I’d rather us be sitting side by side in the sand at sunset with no one knowing what was happening then him down on one knee and everyone staring/cheering.It made it SO much more special to walk up to his parents that were waiting for us and say "WE’RE ENGAGED" and see their reactions than to have them watch. 🙂

It would have been really cute if I remembered to make him get down on one knee.

But what really happened was he surprised me with the ring -> I screamed -> Said yes -> and realized he hasn’t pop the quesiton yet.

He was on both knees, and I teased him about it, so he got down on one knee. It was really cute.
