Mine too!

He was on the other side of the country, coming home for good – I flew out there to start our coming-home-cross-country-trip, and it was something like 12 am there (3 am my time) and he took me out on the beach and popped the q like an hour after I got in – just couldn’t wait I guess 🙂

Mine was patient haha. He bought my ring 2 weeks before he proposed and kept it hidden in the glovebox of his truck. The day after he got it our best friends who are a married couple came over for dinner and he took the husband out to the garage to “get some beer” and showed him too lol. I had no idea and I was just inside the door!

I just posted about how mine couldn’t wait and dropped down at the airport! We were already engaged, but wanted to still do a special proposal moment! It was still very special 🙂

My fiance was excited.. and he waited BUT not without giving out hints unknowingly… Like for example he told me he had my christmas gift and I questioned how he had it, because he was never away.. and he told me that both our mothers were envolved.(Hint 1) Then he freaked when I said I was unsure of my ring size(hint 2) We were having a discussion on when you know you have a good girlfriend..he said when your mother asks if your going to get engaged(hint 3) I think there were more..but I tend to catch onto things..and I dont think he realized he was giving it away.. His daughter also told me I was marrying her daddy tomorrow.. which we had discussed marriage with her, but it was cute. That being said…. I ruined the proposal because I figured it would happen Christmas eve when we were with his family and it didnt.. and then when we were exchanging gifts when we got home..ane he didnt.. so I got kinda flustered and he knew it.. so he let me open his card and it said “I know you didnt get everything you want this year, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you” so then I got even more flustered…and told him i thought he was going to propose.. blah blah.. so when I walked away he went and got the ring and did it then..rather than his original plan of putting it on the Christmas tree for Christmas morning.

My Fiance bought the ring on a Monday afternoon, with the intent on proposing the following weekend as my parents were visiting and he was going to do it with them there, so he could ask my dad in person.

He ended up calling my dad on the Thursday while I was out getting groceries and asked me when I got home.

The excitement was too much for my DH! He picked up the ring on a Wednesday, during his lunch break…he waited less than 12 hours before proposing to me with it in BED lol.  He had originally planned to take me out to our favorite restaurant that Friday evening and do it there..but he couldn’t wait! Eventually we did go out to eat the Friday to celebrate =)

Mr.ND is the kid who makes his Christmas list in November and then goes and buys it all ’cause he’s too excited to wait. How he had his proposal plan in the works for a month and kept it a secret is beyond me! He had a big sign made, had a ton of our family and friends in on it, and I honestly had no clue it was coming at that time.

He did almost give in and do it a week early, but the jeweler wasn’t done sizing it yet so he had to wait unil his planned weekend. Then, Friday night, I guess my mom had to talk him out of proposing at the campfire with our small group of family and friends since he’d already planned a huge proposal for Saturday and invited a lot of people. (He also didn’t know that those friends had made engagement party t-shirts with the date on it and planned us a surprise party, so she was sort of covering their butts as well.) Still, I am amazed he kept his cool and waited to stick with his plan.

I will preface this with the fact that Darling Husband and I were already engaged when he had my ring made. But apart from the initial design (which I sketched) and a rough CAD image to make sure the scale was okay, I wasn’t allowed to know anything else about the ring, including when it would be finished.

So when Darling Husband finally got the call that the ring was done, he suggested we go to the aquarium (where we had one of our first dates) on the weekend since we hadn’t been in a while. I immediately thought, “Oh boy, the ring is done!” LOL.

The next night we went out to dinner…and he whipped out the ring right at the table (and just as the waiter was coming over. :/ That was an awkward moment, I’ll tell ya). Apparently he was worried I suspected something about the aquarium visit and decided to jump the gun to throw me off. We never did end up going to the aquarium!

He wanted to wait until Christmas, but I flew to Alaska for the first time to visit him and he just couldn’t wait!  He proposed the first weekend I was there!

He picked it up from the jeweler and I had it on my finger hours later….lol. It was not a surprise since we had it made otgether but I had not seen the final design until it was on my finger.
