The gifts sound great..And I don’t know if this is just me being ignorant but I had no idea ”bridesmaid gifts ” is a thing.

I did bracelets for my BM’s too. I had three BM’s. I commisioned three custom made wraparound style bracelets made out of green jade and white swarofski crystals (my wedding colours were green and white). One girl wore hers a few times after the wedding, the other two didn’t. They loved them, and it was totally fine.

Yes, wedding party gifts are not new at all. I got flowergirl gifts in the mid-1980s. One was a signet ring that I still own. As a bridesmaid or groomsmaid, I received jewelry, restaurant gift cards, and my room paid for.

I would gratefully accept a robe, jewelry, anything a bride or groom may gift me.

Um, what exactly is wrong with what you are planning to do? I find it lovely.  With or without the gift card.  If your FH doesn’t want you to do the gift cards then don’t, though.  And I don’t think any Bridesmaid or Best Man is going to judge your gift anyway.  At least I hope not – if they do, that’s really on them, not you.  It’s not only brides who need to be gracious.

I like your idea. I’m going to be a bridesmaid for my sister’s wedding and really I would appreciate any gift from her as a bridesmaid. Remember, bridesmaids gifts are not necessary.

anonymous03091989:  I think this is a lovely gift idea – especially the engraving! The only thing to consider (and I only bring this up because it happened to me when I was a bridesmaid) is the size of the bracelet? I know that bracelets generally seem one-size, but I’m not a small gal and the bracelet I receivd did not fit me. Luckily we were not required to wear them for the wedding, but it was just a bit of a bummer. Not a big deal because i still have it (it was a bangle and is actually on my keyring – it’s very sturdy!) but just something to think about.

There’s no hard and fast rule, it’s nice to be nice so your gift is perfect. 🙂

I got my maids bracelets too! I found them decently priced, $20 a piece. I bought one for myself to match so I can keep it and when I wear it I will always think of them 🙂 I also found monogrammed coffee mugs on Etsy for $15, I figured I could afford $35 per person! I like these types of gifts because they are something that they can keep and get use out of. I received a champagne glass as a bridesmaid gift once and TBH I don’t even know where it is lol… a kind gesture but I like useful gifts! The last wedding I was in she gave us these adorable robes and I wear mine every day when I get ready. Anyways, I think your gifts sound lovely and I’m sure your girls will love them and the fact that they came from you.
