I got married mid-July, everything went perfectly! By the end of the evening however my dress was in absolute tatters. I had a bright white satin ballgown with tulle skirt, no lace/sequins. The train was filthy and torn in some places from galavanting around town in it, there was beer, and even a spot of ketchup on the bodice (some of which was removed with a tide-to-go pen. The inside of the bodice/straps were filthy. I had initially planned to donate my dress after having it dry cleaned but the charity I had chosen was no longer accepting dresses (full stock!) so I left it on the backburner as I didn’t want to spend the money until I was sure I could donate my dress. Since then the dress has sat in its bag in my closet, I’m scared to even look at it. My question is, is it too late to have it dry cleaned? Did I leave the dirt/stains to sit too long? I’m also open to cleaning it myself, if anyone has any suggestions with oxy clean etc. It is a lovely dress so even if some of the train is ruined another bride could still use it. Advice much appreciated!
