The Allure C207 is gorgeous, and I’m sure it’ll look stunning in the custom colours you selected. (Although perhaps I’m a bit biased as my dress is also ivory lace over champagne! Wink ) Would love to see a photo once you recieve the dress.

The C207 is my dress as well. Have you tried it on in person? I definitely felt there was no need to “spice it up.” It has beautiful beadwork and the lace is exquisite. The sleeves are my favorite part, they pinch upward a bit creating more of a personalized cap sleeve. I never considered the champagne underneath. It would be beautiful, I’m sure but the dress is beautiful and very bridal without it. I wish I could see a picture of the dress with the champagne, though. I am so happy to find someone else with my dress, it’s pretty rare!

Hi, I ordered the C207 as well! The sample I tried on was ivory lace over light gold (which was the color I ordered). Like you, I was doubting whether I made the right decision, but in the end, I figured the lace detail is more visable over a different color underneath. This is a gorgeous dress and I think it would look beautiful in whatever color you choose!

I will always, always vote for champagne over ivory because it’s so different and flattering and pretty and soft… I could go on. I love it. I didn’t know about champagne dresses before I started dress hunting but I ended up buying an Allure dress in champagne, with ivory lace and silver beading. Here’s some photos (and I am so sorry for how huge they are! I don’t know how to resize them!):

I vote for ivory over champagne. Mine is Sottero & Midgley Sharon which is ivory over light gold so roughly the same. Apologies to bees who have seen this pic many time!

As an older bride, I wanted a more subtle look. Even ivory looked a bit bright to me. The light gold/champagne underneath adds a slight vintage feel to it too. LOVE IT

@Mrs. Wallaby:  What is the number of your gown? It’s absolutely gorgeous and everything and more that I am looking for in a gown.

@beesbelle:  My dress was Allure 8800. I LOVED it and got so many compliments on it at our wedding. It was in the spring 2012 collection so you can probably find it used by now!

I think it’ll look great! My dress was Allure and it was ivory lace over champagne.

It will be beautiful. I love contrast under lace. I just custom ordered a white lace mermaid gown with Tiffany blue satin underneath. Don’t worry – champagne and ivory aren’t dramatically different. 🙂
