I fell in love with Twigs and Honey headpieces before I even thought about my dress, still I tend to veer on the frugal side when it comes to extravagant purchases and refused to pay such a high price for something I would be wearing for one day. My sweet Fiance knew I had been pining over a certain piece they had and surprised me with it for my birthday! I have been waiting for its arrival ever since ( they handmade everything so its a bit of a wait). It finally arrived today and I couldn’t wait to put it on, I tried my best to snap some shots of it and sent it immediately to my Normally very vocal bridal party…..and all I have heard back is crickets! I’m not so self involved to think they drop everything to respond to my every wedding question…however they usually respond back very quickly.
Twigs and Honey does not allow returns and even if they did I could never think of sending back something my Fiance surprised me with! Initially when I put it on I loved it..now doubt is starting to creep in because of the lack of enthusiasm.
What do you bees think?

@Jlee28: I think it’s beautiful! It’s delicate and sparkly at the same time. I am not much of a tiara fan, or of hippy/nature type headpieces… but this one is neither and it’s just perfect.

I think that your Fiance is super sweet and romantic and I would be SO PROUD and HONORED to wear a headpiece my Fiance went ahead and had ordered handmade for me to wear on our wedding day that I wouldn’t care what other people thought. Even if everyone said it was ugly, I wouldn’t care – it’s sweet, romantic and sentimental and I think it’s beautiful – this is how you should be thinking.
That said, I think the pictures are really hard to see what the headpiece looks like, but it looks like a very beautiful piece. I don’t know if I would buy one for myself, but I think it’s beautiful and if you love it and it’s the look you’re going for, then you should wear it proudly!

You love it, and your Fiance made an utterly romantic gesture by splurging on it for you. Who cares what anyone else thinks?
Don’t look to anyone else for validation on this. You should be thrilled and honored to wear it, no matter what anyone does or doesn’t say.

@Jlee28: I actually really like that, but I’m also a fan of whimsical headpieces. I may have read your post incorrectly, but did you say you haven’t purchased your dress yet? Even if you have, maybe your bridal party just can’t picture the whole look together. Or maybe they’re just busy today.
If you have picked out your dress and have some other ideas for your look (hairstyle, etc.), I’d love to see pictures. I’m really interested in what everything will look like together, and I also think seeing inspiration pictures might help others give you honest opinions regarding whether or not the headpiece works.

I am not a tiara fan either!! This is actually called a tiara on the pages description but it dosent really seem like one to me
Thank you for the kind words, I do love it, I think I am just having a mini bride to be freak out today!

I think it’s beautiful!!!! Don’t stress if your girls aren’t gushing. They’re probably just distracted. But I think it’s awesome!!! As is your fiance! Congrats!!!

This is what I have peiced together so far. I will be picking my dress up tomorrow actually, but I am planning to have some alterations done. I will be losing the bow and maybe changing the neckline, I have lost a considerable amount of weight since this picture so it just depends on how it fits My hair will be pretty simplictic, either pulled to the side or just loose waves.
I would love to see your look too! It is so hard for me to envision it all coming together so I make these little collages often to help me visualize!

I think it’s GORGEOUS! How thoughtful of FI!

When I sent my girls the link to see their dresses and color I heard nothing for 2 days. One was traveling but was on Facebook constantly on her phone so I know she had access. The other was texting me like crazy but nothing. I just was like I like it, they aren’t awful and I’m the only one that has to love them. They also said they would wear anything even when I gave them the chance to voice different. One was so busy with her sick kid and the other didnt read email the whole time on her trip. So it wasn’t the dresses. 🙂 But one didnt love them, the other did. Oh well. Can’t please them all!
If you love it..who cares?! And your Fiance got it for you. SO CUTE.

@Jlee28: Oh, I think that will be really pretty with the hairstyles you mentioned. I really like the hairstyle on the dark-haired girl in the far right of your collage … I think cascading curls or waves would be gorgeous with that headpiece!
I wish I had as much figured out as you do (though you’re getting married way before I am, so I’ve still got some time). I have my dress and sash/belt (I’ve been trying not to post it all over the boards just because I’m paranoid that someone I know will see it), but my dress has that whimsical, romantic look I mentioned I like. If you want to check it out, I won’t jack your thread with it … You can just look at my profile and see the thread I started when I was still trying to decide on a dress. I picked the Watters Odette.
I will, however, post a picture of the headpiece I chose. This is just the stock photo, but I’m still waiting for it to arrive (it was also handmade, but it’s from Sara Gabriel):
I want to incorporate braids in my hairstyle somehow, but I haven’t made many other decisions. I also know I want to wear flats, but I haven’t chosen my shoes yet either.
Thanks for sharing your collage! I really like seeing the pieces come together like that … I should probably start one myself. Maybe I could make some more decisions! Haha.

That is soooo lovely and very sweet of your Fiance. It’s so beautiful, delicate and elfin.

I think that headpiece is so stunning and will go wonderful with your dress! I can’t wait to see how your look ends up coming together, you have some time to decide! I hope your headpiece gets to you soon, the few weeks I waited felt like years to me.

Its about you and Fiance 🙂 You shouldn’t worry about impressing anyone else on YOUR day. Personally I love it. Im not a veil person and would totally rock a tiara/circlet/headband thing. And the fact that Fiance suprised you with it for your wedding makes it that much more special!
