Cross posting from the November POAS post but I hoping and praying that these sticks aren’t broken or playing tricks on me! SOrry for the huge sideways pic I have no idea how to turn it. I started testing with OPK’s on CD 9 at night. I test once in the morning the FMU and once at 4 in the evening. I think I got a positive on CD 10 (pm). YES …NO???? I hope so!
I had to get on BC pills last cycle, and next cycle I start CLomid. I’m soooo ready to get off this TTC roller coaster. I would be so happy to know that my body is doing something right!

If I understand how they work correctly, the second line is supposed to be as dark as the first (i haven’t used them before)? If so, I would say yes! Congrats!!

@linz09: you do understand correctly. Thank you! these dang things are so hard to read. My RE and I put them under a medical light today to double check.
Thanks for your response! I feel better. Sometimes I just need a little reassurance.

It’s hard to say. Even if your OPK was positive, you still might not have ovulated. Can you ask your doctor for a blood test to check your progesterone level on CD17? That should tell you for sure.

@bunny: <—- what she said!
Temping or a blood test are the only ways to confirm ovulation. Your body can gear up for it and yet never actually ovulate. Keep in mind too that once you get that positive OPK, it can take 12-36 hours for your body to actually carry through on ovulation – IF you do ovulate. *hugs* Not to be a downer, just want you not to be caught by surprise.

I know nothing about OPK’s, but I wanted to wish you good luck!!! Get busy.

Yeah, OPKs only detect a hormone associated with the gear up for O, but not actual O. I think you should try charting.
