Ok.. I ordered my dress 1 year before my wedding. Well it’s two months away today. I went to my fitting this past Friday and was just feeling “okay” in my dress. Now I’m hoping when I put it on after it’s been altered that it will blow me away, but I’m so scared. I can’t stop thinking about it. I have another dress picked out to get if I put my dress on and cry sad tears instead of happy tears. Now there is one thing probably swaying my decision. I have tried so hard to save A LOT of money on the whole wedding. The dress cost just under $2,000 after veil, jewelry, shoes and alterations. THAT IS WAYYYY MORE than I wanted to spend. The other dress is $300. Just wating to get some opinions. Thanks!
One I bought:

I think the shapes of both dresses are stunning, and I love the backs on both of them. I am partial to the lace on the bottom of #1 though.
Could you still return dress 1 (it’s the $2k dress right?). I do think it is more classic, but they are both great!

I like both dresses. This is a stunning silhouette. But I prefer the top of #2 and the bottom of #1 (that lace-patterned hem is simply spectacular). Either way, you can’t go wrong because both dresses are lovely in their own right (as PP pointed out, your current dress is more classic than the other).

I honestly love your #1 dress!!!!!!!!!! STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Something I did was stop looking at other dresses. I took a month break from WeddingGawker and I just stopped. I think we could all drive ourselves crazy going back and forth on dresses, you know? I think you picked an AMAZING dress !!!!! I hope you love it!!!

They are both nice, but I like #1 better. I think it’s beautiful and I prefer the subtle trumpet style over the dramatic flare.

Theyre both great, but the one you pick is elegant and classy

I like number one way better. It has a much classier shape and the back is simply stunning. Try not to get caught up in the what ifs. As soon as you try your fitted dress on, I think you will realize it was the better choice 🙂

That is the Justin Alexander that I just ordered. Do you have any photos of you in the dress? It’s a very flattering dress and I imagine that you picked it for a reason. I too had slight buyer’s remorse since it was pricier than anticipated, but don’t allow that to sway how beautiful you feel in the dress. The sample I tried had large cap sleeves that I plan on having narrowed if my smaller dress comes with the same wide size. What specifically made you feel just ok? I’m sure you look amazing, alterations do wonders. Post a pic when you can and I hope you feel better once the alterations are done. 🙂
