So over this weekend I fell in love with two dresses and then decided on one of them and ordered it. Now I’m having second thoughts… the people that worked at the store kept telling me I looked gorgeous and I’m not sure if I decided on the dress based on their opinions and not really my own. A little background – our wedding will be on a beach where it’s hot and humid and I wanted something somewhat simple, but yet still have a bridal feel. I still want sort of that princess look as well. But because we’ll be flying over 15+ hours to our destination, transporting the dress and making sure it won’t get wrinkle was an issue. This dress was very different than all the ones that I’ve tried on, the upper body part is kind of see thru with lace and beading and the bottom is made of tulle and has a side slit. You don’t really see my skin I think unless you really get up close, but do you think it’s kind of trashy or not really bridal? I love the beading part of it and the fact that it’s just very different and unique but is it really appropriate? We’re technically eloping but will have a casual reception when we return and I was hoping to wear the dress at the reception as well…

I think it looks lovely! I’d do a simpler sash though. There’s enough bling up top. You don’t need it at your waist too :). Very flattering though :).

I definitely agree that you should go for a simpler sash but the dress is stunning and perfect for a beach wedding!

YOU PICKED A WINNER, GIRL

Its perfect. I had the same issue picking a dress for our beach wedding. I loved the first one I tried on, then loved the second one as well. I went for the second as I felt it worked better for the beach/summer/sand etc. I still have the odd pang of regret wondering if I made the wrong decision, then I look at the photos of me in the dress and I look so happy.

Agree with other comments about the sash. I’m curious to see what it looks like without it too. I think the tulle makes it a beautiful beach wedding gown!

Oooooooo gorgeous!! Agree with pp about the sash though.

I think you made a great choice! It will be perfect for a beach wedding and it does not look trashy whatsoever.

Ohhh thank you so much you all! I’m so glad you all think it’s pretty and perfect for my beach wedding! I’m so relieved! I was seriously losing sleep thinking about it in the last few days! I did order a more simple sash, just a plain satin one but in a baby pink color (my favorite color). 🙂

I do not care for the bodice. I would add a champagne colored lining. Otherwise the dress is gorgeous I love it.

I see plenty of skin but it is for the beach and that’s a good place to show it! You look awesome in that dress. Definitely a winner for you!

skchan628 : very pretty do you have pic of back? :+)

I think it’s appropriate for a beach wedding 🙂
I love the split! I’m glad you change the sash because the ivory clashes so much with the white.
Great pick! 🙂

harleybeachbride6 : I didn’t take a picture of it, but these pictures of the back are taken from the website of where I ordered it…

skchan628 : after seeing the detailed pictured I don’t think you should wear a sash at all. The lace on the top blends into the skirt so nicely I’d hate to see that covered up with a sash.
