I’m getting married in my hometown, in the other side of the country. I sent my STD’s yesterday. Groom’s family and friends are all going to be booking flights and hotels. Am I ok with sending them or did I wait too long?
Also, when should I send the invites?

My FI’s sister has the same date and she hasn’t sent her Save-The-Date Cards yet. She is having a destination wedding to Jamaica! They’re working on the Save-The-Date Cards and will probably send them in like 2 weeks or so. I think when you sent them is fine and everyone will be able to get flights and hotels alright.

You are giving people nine months notice… that is more than enough time. For a wedding where most of the guests have to travel I think 8 months is standard, so you are not late at all 🙂

That’s more than enough time! Many of the airline schedules aren’t even out yet for December!
I’m getting married at the end of October and am choosing the pic for my STD’s this weekend. They’ll go out by the end of the month.

We’re getting married in Mexico and I’m still waiting for my STD’s to come in….so I say No, you’re not too late.

I sent my STD’s 4 months before. Somewhere I read that 4-6 months was acceptible. Ohm…everywhere else said 6-12. You did it right! Me? Totally wrong.

Yup – right on time! I’m Dec 29 and will be sending them in the next 2 weeks.
